Federal Judge Blocks 10 Commandments Law

In a decision that shouldn’t surprise anyone with a perspective shaped by Bible prophecy, a federal judge issued an order on Tuesday to block a Louisiana state law that would have required the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms. The attorney general of Louisiana said she would immediately appeal the ruling, which I suspect will go all the way up to the Supreme Court.

The original legislation was passed by a GOP-led state house this summer and signed by Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry. It dictated that schools would have until January 1 to comply by posting the Ten Commandments.

Then, of course, the lawsuits began.
