Today I have Olivier Melnick with me, and this is one of the most important conversations we can have right now. Olivier is the son of Holocaust survivors from France—his grandfather was taken by the Gestapo right in front of his mother’s eyes and murdered at Auschwitz. His mother spent seven years hiding in the south of France as a young girl. Olivier has been studying antisemitism for 26 years, and he told people back then that it was going to get really bad for the Jewish people. He wishes he didn’t have to say, “I told you so,” but we are now living in a new iteration of the hatred that arose in the 1930s and 40s. After October 7th, when 1,200 Jews were slaughtered by Hamas terrorists, the world didn’t rally around Israel—they turned against her. This is Zechariah 12:3 being fulfilled before our eyes. The whole world is turning against the Jews, and that’s announcing the soon coming of Jesus. We’re going to talk about what antisemitism really is, why it’s irrational and demonic, and what Christians need to do right now to stand with the Jewish people.
