China is Winning the Race to Nuclear Fusion

I first wrote at Tipping Point about nuclear fusion in 2022, after researchers in the United States made a generational breakthrough. They produced a nuclear fusion reaction that created more energy than they started with, which has been considered the holy grail of energy science. It was a history-making achievement.

And now it seems the United States has already fallen behind China in pursuit of this transformative technology.
