Are Americans Truly Christian or Just “Christian”?

I’ve mentioned the research of Dr. George Barna before, and he has just released his sixth annual nationwide study of the worldview of American adults. The document, called American Worldview Inventory 2025—that link goes to a PDF—reveals what he calls “a deep and growing confusion about God, even among those who call themselves Christians.”

They define themselves as Christian believers, but their beliefs are not always in line with what the Bible says. Their views about God have been distorted by our culture.
