Don't Miss the Point about Prophecy

The Book of Revelation is intended to comfort you—not frighten you

Some people simply miss the point about Bible prophecy. They get overexcited about who might be the Antichrist or what might represent the Mark of the Beast or when the Rapture might take place. It might even make them nervous.

Like a child who’s gotten in trouble and been told “Just wait until your dad gets home,” they view the end times with dread or fear.

That’s not the point! God didn’t give us books like Revelation to scare us. He did it to prepare us. Nearing the end times shouldn’t fill us with dread, but have a purifying effect. When you get right with God, you’re not worried about Jesus coming back.
