Brief Thoughts on the U.S. Election

As Dr. Mark Hitchock and I said yesterday in our live Tipping Point Show, we believe this is a historic week and Donald Trump’s victory points the way to a significant moral shift in America. God judges nations for their moral stance and their relationship to Israel, and my hope is that this election will be a turning point for our country.

This moment feels like a breath of fresh air when faith will once again be welcome in our nation. In recent decades, we’ve seen faith under attack. We’ve seen the gradual alignment of societal attitudes with the Bible’s prediction that genuine faith and morality will become increasingly countercultural in the last days.

Will that change in the coming years? That’s the question a lot of people are now asking. We should certainly be praying for a lasting moral shift while remaining clear-eyed about what the Bible says about the end times.
