Fearless to Face the New Year

Negative fear never comes from God. Here's how to defeat it.

Happy new year! As we enter 2022, I want to tell this community again how thankful I am for all of you. I love writing and thinking about Bible prophecy, and I appreciate how your support has helped create a space for us to consider current events in light of what the Bible says about the end times.

One subject I’ve been reading among your comments is a frustration with our world today, and maybe a little fear. I’ve definitely heard this in private conversations. So many aspects of life today are making people anxious: the geopolitical conflicts percolating across the world, the increasing cases of COVID, the deaths of people we know, the divide between citizens and political parties, extreme weather, worrisome technology and just the overall complexity of the world as we know it.

People are afraid of the future. But I write this newsletter—and have invited a few trusted contributors to join me—so that you won’t be afraid. I believe that through a proper understanding of Bible prophesy, you can lose all fear and dread of the end. I also believe that, in general, followers of Jesus just do not need to fear at all. Period.

I want to explore that in this post.
