Happy New Year! Due to the holiday week, I’m also making today’s Quick Hits slightly shorter—but with a look at what’s coming this year. I am praying for you this year and, as always, grateful for this community. ~ Jimmy Evans


As you might expect, at the start of a new year, I tend to get asked what I anticipate happening in the coming year, or what someone with a Bible prophecy perspective should be paying attention to. The first days of a new year aren’t just a good opportunity to reflect on the past year, but to think and pray about the weeks and months to come.

Here are a few of the opportunities, situations and global themes that have my attention as we begin 2025. If you want to know more about these, I walk through some of these scenarios in yesterday’s video.

  1. Middle East Peace Agreements and the Abraham Accords: During Donald Trump’s first term in office, these groundbreaking peace agreements normalized diplomatic relations between Israel and Arab nations including United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. I expect more—potentially Indonesia, Oman or Saudi Arabia—to be announced after Trump takes office. These historic agreements have the potential to reshape the Middle East, bringing unprecedented peace and cooperation between Israel and its Arab neighbors. This aligns with the prophetic vision of peace in the region, even if that peace may be temporary.
