Is Jesus' statement in Matthew 16:28 about the end times?

Every Friday, I answer a common question related to the end times. Today’s is about how we should interpret Matthew 16:28. Is it about the end times?

Question:

I don’t understand the concept of “the generation” that Jesus referred to when He was telling His followers about the end times. A plain reading of Matthew 16:28 seems to say some of the disciples wouldn’t die until the Rapture. How does Jesus’ prediction refer to today rather than to the original disciples?
