As much as I love teaching about the Rapture, my heart is heavy that so many are unclear or deceived regarding it. The Church and world need a clear, authoritative, and engaging treatment of this vital biblical truth now more than ever.

This week has been a good example of why this is necessary. Just look at the news: the economy is rattled, the stock market is volatile, experts are warning about war with Iran, Chinese soldiers are fighting alongside Russia, Israel remains at war, and disease outbreaks are spreading. People are worried. The ground is shifting beneath their feet and they’re looking for stability.

Fear and uncertainty are widespread, but God’s Word gives us a message of hope. All around us, we see the biblical signs converging and intensifying, as if as if God is shouting from the heavens, “The King is coming! 3. Pay Attention to This News

Israel’s military is facing division over the war in Gaza. This week, nearly a thousand reservists and retired officers in Israel’s air force signed a letter calling for Israel’s government to agree to a deal with Hamas that would stop the war in Gaza and return hostages to Israel. This represented a rare large-scale critique from active military personnel about the management of the war. The signers included former military leaders and even a former chief of staff. Benjamin Netanyahu’s office immediately condemned the letter, saying its statements “strengthen our enemy during wartime.” In response, Israel’s military expelled the active-duty reservists who signed the letter, but did not provide actual numbers about how many were discharged.

Health and Human Services secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has found himself in an uncomfortable middle ground in his response to the deadly measles outbreak in Texas. On one hand, scientists and medical professionals expressed alarm when Kennedy—a vaccine skeptic—promoted alternative treatments to prevent measles, and has taken steps to advance a vaccine freedom agenda. But then, on Sunday, Kennedy endorsed the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine in a post on X, saying it was “the most effective way to prevent the spread of measles.” This angered supporters who advocate for freedom from required vaccinations, and who welcomed the appointment of Kennedy in the administration. “We urge Kennedy to provide clarity on his statement,” one advocate said.
