Friedman: U.S. Should Support “One Jewish State”
Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman (above right) has written a fascinating new book called One Jewish State: The Last, Best Hope to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. A former bankruptcy lawyer advising Donald Trump, he worked closely with Trump on Israel-related issues during his presidential campaign, then was appointed by President Trump to his ambassadorship in 2017.
He ended up being one of the architects of the Abraham Accords. In 2019, The Jerusalem Post named Friedman one of the world’s 50 most influential Jews.
In the new book, Friedman says that a two-state solution will never bring an end to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian people. In fact, he writes, those policies are doomed to fail and would put Israel in even greater danger than today.
