Israel’s Astonishing Attacks on Hezbollah
I hope you have been paying attention to the news about Israel’s communications attack on Hezbollah. Mark Hitchcock provided a prophetic analysis of these events in this morning’s Marking the End Times, but for those of you who prefer written content rather than a video, I wanted to take a brief look at it.
Starting Tuesday with pagers and then continuing Wednesday with walkie-talkies, this attack represents one of the most technologically advanced and psychologically 48 hours of warfare I can remember.
On Tuesday, word began to spread about an attack right out of a spy film, as thousands of pagers used by Hezbollah fighters detonated in Lebanon. At least 12 people were killed—including a child—and 3,000 others were wounded, including an Iranian ambassador to Beirut.
Hezbollah had recently stopped using iPhones after a commander was killed in July following a phone call. They suspected Israel had access to their communications devices. The pagers were viewed as a “low-tech” way to communicate. Obviously, that didn’t work.
