I know I typically address subscriber questions in a Friday post, but there have been several on my mind that all fall into the same category, and I want to discuss them today. All these questions are about God’s character.
Pretty regularly, I get asked questions about the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve. The Bible is clear that Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden, but there are other questions that don’t have such easy answers:
Why didn’t God stop them from sinning?
Why did God allow the serpent (the devil) to be present?
If God knew they would be tempted and ultimately sin, then isn’t God really responsible for their temptation and sin?
Why did God allow the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil to grow in the garden? Doesn’t that make Him partially responsible for their temptation and sin?
