The timing of the rapture is one of the most debated issues in biblical eschatology. The three major views are pretribulationism, midtribulationism, and posttribulationism.
Each of these views refers to whether the Rapture occurs prior to the Tribulation (pretrib), during the Tribulation (midtrib) or at the end of the Tribulation (posttrib). All of these major perspectives have strengths and weaknesses that are legitimately debated.
