Today I want to encourage you to learn the definition of faith. I explain that believing and trusting in God is a huge component of our faith.

He Called Me His Son

At fifteen years old, Linh left Vietnam after earning a prestigious scholarship to study piano at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. His dream was clear: become a world-class pianist.
From the outside, his life looked successful. But inside, everything was falling apart.
Years of illness, sleepless nights, deep shame, broken relationships, and overwhelming guilt left him wondering if life even had meaning.
Then one evening on July 23, 1992, two elderly missionaries visited the student dormitory and shared the Gospel with a room full of Vietnamese students.
As they spoke about Jesus, something extraordinary happened.
Long before Linh knew who Jesus was, Jesus already knew Linh.
Linh suddenly felt overwhelming warmth throughout his body and heard a gentle voice repeating:
“My son, I love you. I’ve done it all for you. I’ve redeemed you. You’re Mine.”
He looked around the room, but no one had spoken those words.
He went home with a New Testament and couldn’t stop reading until he finished the last page. Three days later, he fell to his knees and surrendered his life to Jesus.
Through tears he prayed, “Jesus, I don’t know much about You, but here I am. Just take me and be my Lord and my King! I am all Yours.”
In an instant, the shame and guilt he’d carried for years disappeared.
“Peace descended like a blanket and wrapped my entire body.”
For the first time in years, he knew he was forgiven, deeply loved, and truly free.
Soon after, the insomnia that had tormented him for years disappeared. The stomach illness he had battled since childhood was healed. The shame that once defined him no longer had a hold on his life.
Today, more than three decades later, Linh lives in Canada and continues sharing the hope of Jesus around the world.
Linh shares, “I started sharing the gospel with everyone I knew, beginning with my own family. My mother believed. Then my father. My sister followed after. Many of my friends came to faith as well. I got married. I have two wonderful children who are now young adults. I baptized both of them.”
Countless others have heard the Gospel because one young man answered God’s invitation.
Looking back today, Linh simply says, “I found what I had been searching for my entire life.”
Perhaps you’re carrying shame, searching for purpose, or wondering if God could ever love someone like you. Linh’s story reminds us that Jesus still calls people by name.
The same Jesus who called Linh by name is still calling people today.
He still says, “I love you. You are Mine.”
“But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12 (NLT)
Linh’s special word for you.....
My friend, you too can come to Jesus right now if you simply open your heart and invite Him in to be your Lord and your King. Your sins will be forgiven. Your heart will be healed. Your soul will be saved, and you will be born into the kingdom of God.
He’s been waiting for you all along.
He will come in and stay with you.
For He has said, “Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:20
