Faith That Never Let Go

Some testimonies begin in broken places—and become something only God could build.
As a young girl, Wendy learned early what it meant to trust God. After her father left, her mom worked two jobs, often leaving Wendy and her brother alone at night in a small trailer. But before walking out the door, her mother would say something that shaped her life forever:
“Talk to God. He is your real Father.”
And Wendy did.
In the quiet, in the unknown, and in the hard—she talked to Him. Over time, she realized something powerful: God wasn’t distant. He was present. Faithful. Personal. He became the Father who raised her and she watched Him do real miracles for her family.
Years later, that same God gave Wendy an assignment—one far greater than she could have imagined. He entrusted her with what she describes as a “Noah’s Ark” of horses… a carefully preserved breeding program built over 35 years, designed to preserve rare and pure bloodlines for future generations.
What began as a passion became obedience.
Today, those horses are reaching far beyond her ranch—impacting lives around the world. Many who come don’t just find the right horse—they encounter peace, healing, and even Jesus.
But the journey hasn’t been easy. Recently, Wendy shared with the prayer team, she has faced wave after wave of health challenges and hardship. Still, she holds tightly to what God spoke to her: keep the herd together.
And she has.
Each year, the first foal is given back to God through “Colts for Christ” helping support missions and spread the gospel across the world.
Wendy’s story reminds us that no matter how difficult life becomes, God never leaves the ones who trust Him. He still leads, still heals, still provides, and still writes beautiful stories through lives fully surrendered to Him.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
