Three explanations why the U.S. won't play a role in end-times events

In its many prophetic passages, the Bible speaks of specific nations—and some with recognizable names. 

Israel is clearly identified, as is Iran (Persia) and Libya. Most likely, we can also identify Sudan, Russia, China, and perhaps even Europe. (Jimmy Evans wrote an excellent post a couple years ago identifying these nations.)

But there is no passage that one can point to that clearly would represent the reigning superpower on the face of the earth today: The United States of America. 

Our absence is conspicuous. Where are we? We can only guess. But I think it is safe to say that our nation will not play a major role in end-times events. Why is that? Here are just a few possibilities.
