The importance of this generation and why we need to watch the signs

The disciples simply wanted to know when the end times would come. “Teacher, but when will these things be?” they asked Jesus in Luke 21:7. “And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

Jesus told them about horrific events that would happen—earthquakes, famines, pestilences, “fearful sights” and “great signs from heaven.” He described how the nations would experience distress and how men’s hearts would fail them from fear.
