The Prophetic Significance of Monkeypox

Another disease spills over from the animal world. Is it the next pandemic?

Late last week, the World Health Organization declared monkeypox to be a global health emergency, a rare designation that acknowledges the rapid spread of this disease. Right now the epicenter of the illness is in Europe. Homosexual men are at greatest risk.

But the virus spreads through skin-to-skin contact or contaminated surfaces, and the CDC recently announced the first two cases occurring in children here in the United States.
