Netanyahu Poised to Regain Power in Israel

We are still just a couple days after elections in Israel—the country’s fifth election since 2019—but it’s looking like Benjamin Netanyahu will be able to form a substantial enough coalition to become Prime Minister once again. His Likud party is likely to take 32 seats and a majority in Israel’s parliament after the failure of the most recent “change” government led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid.

The newly forming coalition around Netanyahu is expected to control 65 out of 120 available seats, which would be a major victory.
