Are American Jews Turning Against Israel?

Soon, American Evangelical Christians may be the only friends Israel has in the world. Last weekend, in an interview, the former head of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League and a long-time defender of Israel said his support of Israel was conditional.

Abe Foxman, a leader in the American Jewish community, said he was worried that presumed incoming prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu could lead Israel away from democracy. If he did that, Foxman said, “he will change the nature of Israel’s support in the U.S., certainly the American Jewish community” and even the United States government.
