Get Ready for the “Crypto Super Bowl”
With the Super Bowl this weekend, people always talk as much about the commercials as the game itself, and this Sunday’s game is likely to make a splash. Reports indicate that viewers will see multiple ads—for the first time—involving cryptocurrency and crytptocurrency exchanges.
According to Katie Thomas from the Kearney Consumer Institute, up to a half-dozen crypto companies will be advertising during the Big Game. Some of these brands are paying as much as $7 million for a 30-second ad.
Having just one ad maybe wouldn’t get enough consumers over the hump, but seeing a handful of ads is going to probably pique enough interest that consumers will then go ahead and do their own research and find out a little bit more.
In other words, it’s likely that, on Monday, people won’t just be talking about football. They may be talking about cryptocurrency.
