Dozens injured during clash at Jerusalem holy site
On Good Friday last week, more than 150 Palestinians were injured in a conflict with Israeli riot police inside the Al-Aqsa mosque compound on the Temple Mount. This came after two weeks of Arab attacks on the streets of Israel during Ramadan, leading up to the confluence of Easter and Passover.
The police force was responding to Palestinian young people who were caught throwing rocks and fireworks at Jewish worshipers praying at the Western Wall, which is located right below the Temple Mount.
Once part of the ancient Temple in Jerusalem, the Temple Mount area is considered holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians. I have referred to it in the past as Ground Zero for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. For this reason, I always keep my eye on news related to the Temple Mount or Al-Aqsa. Tensions have been growing there in recent months.
