Trump Calls for Gaza Ceasefire Deal
In a Truth Social post over the weekend, President Trump urged Israel and Hamas to finalize a ceasefire deal to end the nearly 20-month war. He emphasized the need for Hamas to return the remaining Israeli hostages and suggested a deal might be reachable “within the next week.”
This was after he told reporters on Friday in the Oval Office that a ceasefire agreement was something his administration was “working on” and which could happen as early as this week.
