This week, I want to continue to share with you some insights on how to pray. I focus on the passage in Luke 18 that reminds us to pray continually.
How do we pray? Continually. You pray one morning and you pray for this. You come back the next morning. You come back the next morning. You come back that afternoon. Every time it's on your heart, you go back to God and say, Lord, I'm coming to you again. I'm coming in faith. —Jimmy Evans
Keep scrolling! Each week, below Pastor Jimmy’s Sunday message, we share a testimony from our Tipping Point community celebrating God’s faithfulness, answered prayers, and miracles.
Look What God Has Done
Inspired by real praise reports from the Tipping Point community, these testimonies celebrate God’s faithfulness, answered prayers, and the miracles He is still doing today. We pray they encourage your faith and remind you that God is still at work.
A Nana’s Powerful Prayers
By Kari Smalley Gibson, TP Community Storyteller
One of the most beautiful things about the Tipping Point community is this: when someone is hurting, afraid, or carrying a burden too heavy to bear alone…we pray together.
In March of 2025, a great-grandmother (Nana) named Lynn reached out to the prayer team with an urgent request. Her granddaughter Charlie and Charlie’s husband, Taylor, were preparing to welcome their first baby boy, Benjamin. What should have been a joyful season had suddenly become filled with concern. Complications had arisen, doctors were involved, and fear had crept into the family’s hearts.
Lynn asked the community to intercede for four specific needs: protection over baby Benjamin, safe delivery for Charlie, strength for Taylor, and wisdom for every medical professional involved.
And friends, Pastor Jimmy Evans and the Tipping Point prayer team immediately began lifting this family up in prayer.
We serve a God who heals completely!
On April 2, Benjamin was born by emergency C-section. Baby Benjamin was safe—but Charlie faced serious complications afterward, including bleeding, wound issues, and a long recovery. Once again, Lynn reached out asking for prayer.
During that difficult season, one Scripture became an anchor for her soul: “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 30:17 (NIV)
Lynn later shared that every time fear tried to overwhelm her, she clung to that promise. She said the prayers from the Tipping Point community helped her “clothe up for battle” with the armor of God from Ephesians 6.
Slowly, healing came. Her great-grandson, Benjamin grew stronger. Charlie recovered. But God wasn’t finished writing the story.
More than a year later, Lynn sent another update—this time overflowing with joy. Benjamin had just celebrated his first birthday, and Charlie had experienced a powerful spiritual rededication to the Lord.
What began as a desperate prayer request had become a testimony of healing, restoration, and renewed faith. Even during the uncertainty, this Nana continued believing that God does not heal halfway. She stood firmly on God’s promise of complete restoration for Charlie and her family!
Friends, never underestimate what God can do through faithful intercession. Sometimes the miracle unfolds moment by moment, prayer by prayer, until one day you look back and realize…God carried them through it all.
