“Verify Your Humanity”: The Orb Launches in the U.S.
A San Francisco-based tech startup by Sam Altman of Open AI has now launched in the United States, after testing its product in other countries. I first wrote about this project in 2023. It combines cryptocurrency with eyeball scanning and artificial intelligence, aiming to be a solution for “distinguishing humans from AI online.”
Even the New York Times is calling the idea “strange and sinister.” But after testing in places like Kenya and Indonesia, World ID and the Orb have now come to America.
