I cried reading this! God is so good. I pray that as these students who have traveled come down "off the mountain" as you say, that they take the Holy Spirit with them to wherever they're from and the Holy Spirit of God spreads like wildfire! This is so beautiful.

On a separate note, I too have zero faith in the politicians leading our country in any way back to the Father. I believe that we are too far gone and it breaks my heart. It saddens me to no end that the nation I live in now is not the nation that I grew up in. Lately I have been looking up at the Father praying, crying out "please come back for us! But until you do let us shine our light brightly and make a difference." I pray regularly that God would give us the energy that we need to be working in this world for the Gospel up until the very moment that we hear that Glorious Trumpet! I pray that He gives us everything we need to be working until the very moment we are called home by Jesus. My spirit is tired and I need my Jesus to give me strength. Lately I have been coming to Him with my weariness and heart break. But He is so good! He restores my soul ❤️

I don’t ever want to be like the Pharisees or Sadducees who looked at God’s movement, looked God in the eyes, and tsk tsk it all because it didn’t meet their expectations of a revival or Messiah. I’m optimistic and beaming with Joy watching a movement of the Holy Spirit in this generation who so desperately need God right now. I keep getting a visual like in the Lord of the Rings movie when the first beacon fire was lit and then all of the following watch towers across a great distance were lit to signal action across the world and believing that Asbury was the first beacon and other churches across the world are also lighting their beacons. I’m praying into this movement, praying for revival and seeing the youth even in our own Church come alive in the Holy Spirit encountering the young people in the church. I went to a couple of extra prayer meetings this past week. I was in a wheelchair just a few months ago with cancer that grew and spread so bad it caused a fractured hip and prayers and God have turned my situation completely around and the cancer has retreated drastically and I’m walking again. During worship, I pray in the spirit and bop around when all are dancing around me not being sure what my hip can take right now. During one of the prayer meetings this week, a young, Gen Z lady (maybe 20 yo) prayed over me and said she felt the Holy Spirit wanting to give me permission to dance and jump around! Wow. She didn’t know me or my story, I was a crying mess with breakthrough in my faith believing God can, has and will complete healing in my life and in others too. We also took a big group of unsure believer Family members to see ‘Jesus Revolution’ yesterday and we saw how much it touched and moved their hearts toward God and broke down misconceptions of who they thought He is or what a Christian is. I’m praying and believing for revival and awakening and Acts 2 miracles!

Angel, your words are beautiful.... danced straight to my heart!! First of all, you shared a powerful vision. I love how Lord of the Rings is such a great visual for so many believers, like when the great army descends on the darkness riding their horses for the greatest battle on middle earth!!! That's us someday with the King of Kings on our horses! You are filled with the Holy Spirit and praying along with you & TP that soon very soon you are dancing and jumping around in worship and living life outloud. We saw Jesus Revolution this weekend, and can't wait to go back and see it again. Like you said, this is the perfect movie to bring your family and unsure believers, and the lost. It has deeply touched my heart what God has done at Wilmore! About the same time as this was starting my youngest twin daughter was sending me messages concerned about current world events taking place and she was peppering me with questions about what was happening. As I began to explain to her what was taking place, I mentioned about this revival and how much I wanted to go but couldn't drive to it because of my injured foot. She volunteered to come from West Virginia to take me so that I could be there. But before this, she sent me a message and told me that I don't have to worry about her. You see, God was awakening her to the end times and at the same time this revival was taking place. I know in my heart that this was totally a work of the Holy Spirit. Satan however was determined to deter Cierra from ever getting out of West Virginia. A really bad wreck right before she hit the interstate, and a long train wait once she took the detour. But you know what? It was totally worth all of the trouble when we finally made it to the campus. I could never explain the happiness I felt at seeing tears of joy streaming down her face because of what she was witnessing there. And those young adults who attended this and fell on their knees in repentance, the joy that filled that place at their testimonies was just an Awesome work of the Holy Spirit. It is spreading far and wide. I have posted a map pinpointing all of the places that this revival has either spread or where people traveled from on my facebook page. A student at the college done an awesome job of putting all of that together. I was blown away by how many different nationalities were there and all across the U.S. God bless you pastor Jimmy. Your work for the kingdom has helped so many also. None of us could ever thank you enough for creating this site. Your sis in Christ, Hala.

CC I don't think this is off topic at all .... it was an excellent movie and I can't wait to see it again. My 15 year old was a little disgruntled we weren't seeing "Ant Man" but she couldn't take her eyes off the screen. She is a believer, but also a teenage living in these crazy end of the end days. She asked me if she and a friend could go see it on Friday! I was like ummm Yesss!! The movie meant a lot to me personally. My dad knew Greg Laurie and was always impressed at his boldness for Jesus. There are no perfect pastors or perfect churches, but to see Pastor Laurie and his beautiful wife still ministering in CA and baptizing at Pirates Cove was incredible! I had the honor of being baptized in the ocean in CA with my brother and cousins. My dad took us to a special place with a lot of rocks and sandy beach. Now I'm wondering if it was Pirates Cove!!!! It's possible :)) 🎺☁️🔜

Kari your statement, "There are no perfect pastors or perfect churches ..." tugged on my heart. My husband and I were first generation Christians and hung our heads

as failures when our teenage son got into major rebellion in the form of drugs and alcohol. The Holy Spirit brought us the revelation that God the Father made Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden which was perfect. They rebelled in eating the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden which He had forbidden them. Fig leaves covered their realization that they were naked but did not take their sin away. God needed to send His only begotten Son to earth to live a perfect life and suffer a horrific death to redeem all who would own their sin and receive the total forgiveness of their sin by the Blood of His Lamb as the perfect sacrifice. My pastor's wife up on Long Island made two profound statements. One was the fact that pastors are mere men called of God and secondly because churches are filled with imperfect people there are no perfect churches. Jesus was the one and only perfect person on earth. God gives His grace to us and we need to give grace to pastors and brothers and sisters in our churches. The Holy Spirit will bring conviction and sanctification to all who will receive it. There is a day coming when He will separate the tares from the wheat. That is not our job! We are called to pray in love and forgiveness for one another. May we be about what He has called us to do!

Expand full comment

Oh Carol! How beautiful are your words! So true! Love you sister. I have had to learn this the hard way with my own. Our job is to love and witness, God's job is to bring them to repentance, and the children's jobs are to repent and accept. We can tell them the truth, but it must be done in love. This, I have had to learn.

Hala many years ago now I remember that I was sitting in my backyard going over the notes I had taken of my pastor's sermon that Sunday. He spoke on the fact that we are the clay and He is the potter. As I finished I heard the Holy Spirit's still small voice saying, "And remember Carol I am your children's potter not you!" Over and over I have had to heed His admonition as I tried in vain to fashion my children of clay into what I thought thinking I was their potter. This clay 80 year old mom is still struggling but surrender comes easier now! ❤️

Hi Glee - I lived through the Jesus People revival too. I was in a home Bible study and for us it started when we were praying together for the Lord to give us understanding of Acts 8:14, which was part of the study that evening. The Holy Spirit fell on all 18 of us right then. It led to us being bound together as a community with so much love... we started a Calvary Chapel in that town. We were never the same. I later married the drummer from Daniel Amos, one of the bands that toured with Chuck Smith and Greg Laurie.

Daniel Amos played at my high school in 1980 in the Houston area as part of a special evangelistic event. They played in the downtown coliseum too. I got to go backstage before they played and I still remember the sound of the guitar players practicing... they were blowing it up. :)

I was a senior that year and went through a couple of months of evangelism, discipleship classes prior to the 2 concerts. At the one downtown I was to be at front at the end to lead people in prayer for salvation, then follow up with them afterwards to make sure they got plugged into a church and so on. My guy was a Hispanic guy in his early 20's who lived near downtown in rough area. We really hit if off, but he couldn't break with his drinking. He got drunk once early on and stood on a corner preaching to people. Doubt they knew he was drunk. He did join a church. After about a month we went our separate ways. It was quite an experience.

I first got saved in 85 when Reagan was prez, I was at a street fair in Tucson, smoking a joint when a guy walked up to me and started telling me about Jesus. It was a total divine set-up because after I rejected it the first time this same guy would go door to door and pass out tracts. Little did I know that he lived 3 doors down from me. It was a miracle that God touched my heart because this guy was a complete jerk, but God worked past him and I eventually went to a Friday night home group Bible study and prayed the sinners prayer and got saved. The church God brought me to used to go street preaching at bars and strip clubs. We were militant by today's standards. This was my foundation.

It sits 20,000 and is where the university's basketball team plays. https://www.theinteriorjournal.com/2023/02/25/kentucky-revival-continuing-at-rupp-arena-on-sunday/

Saw the Jesus Revolution movie yesterday afternoon. Very good.... two thumbs up! The movie could fan the flames of revival for some, but on its own... not so is my thought. Our country/world is so different now as well as the young people and there's no large group of young people anything like the hippies. And as of now the Asbury revival has been mostly about Christian students experiencing a closer walk with God... not seeing the lost get saved as in the Jesus movement.

Thank you, Dave for posting about the service today at Rupp. I pray the Lord moves mightily there also. God is not limited to a certain place.

I agree David that the generation that the Jesus Revolution embraced and the generation of today are vastly different over the last fifty years., I believe the Holy Spirit meets each generation in their need. It has been said that this generation of youth in America has more fatherless homes than any other nation in the world. Perhaps this move of the Holy Spirit on our young adults is going to be an awakening to the fact that they have a Heavenly Father that loves them unconditionally and wants to adopt them as His children. But there is one very important condition: they need to forgive their earthly fathers. That is not easy but with God all things are possible! I know this to be absolute truth for 45 years ago I needed to forgive my earthly father before my walk with Jesus could bear fruit. Forgiveness after all is what the gospel is all about. ❤️

This move of the Holy Spirit came out of the blue, I don't think any one expected it to happen? I could be mistaken and stand corrected, but the beautiful thing is that it impacted young lives! Could this spread out to all of the USA? All things are possible for those who believe. Now could this spread further to other nations? Hay all things are possible. Ever since I could remember Australia and the Southern Islands were earmarked for a end time revival. The first mention of this was from a Portuguese Captain by the name of Pedro Furnandez de Quiros on 14 May 1606. Of his prophecy Australia and all the islands about where to be known as The South Land of the Holy Spirit! There has been no other nation that has ever been bestowed with such an honour. At the base of my nation even though it was colonised by the British, 26 January1788, on 3 February 1788, the very first time the Holy scriptures were read on Australian shores was from a Navy chaplain by the name of Richard Johnson and he preached from Psalm 116:12, What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me. It was a sermon of gratitude. From there on Australia has the divine title of Evangelism which is the very bedrock of the nation! Just thought I share some little facts on the topic of Revival. Again not taking anything away from what has transpired in Kentucky its great to read and know that young lives being impacted by the Holy Spirit! Thank you Pastor Jimmy for posting this and its very encouraging to see the young in you nation touched by the Lord.😉👍🇭🇲🇺🇲
