Sadly, many times we already see God's judgement on our nation. The midwest is consumed with drought, the eastern states are being hit with catastrophic flooding. Our nation is in great moral decline, and what we see makes us long for homeland. Much love to all of my T.P. family. Know that I have been praying for each of you and your lost loved ones.

Thank you Hala for being a prayer warrior. Someone prayed for me many years ago (44 years ago this coming November) and religion fell away and I began to walk with Jesus as my Savior, realized my Heavenly Father was not like my earthly father

and that I was not alone on this earth journey but the Holy Spirit was my helper, teacher, guide and comforter and would remind me of the words of the Father and the Son. My TP family we all want that for our loved ones.

Again, bless you for your prayers Hala!

Spot on, P. Greg! More even than revival, we need to pray for discernment, as so much unbiblical teaching is creeping in. And it's so subtle, unless you really listen, it's so easy to buy into it. One preacher will start it and then others come on board with the same message and you think maybe this is true. It happened to me just yesterday. They come in as wheat (disguised Christians), but they're really tares. There are those who are blatant and can be spotted right away, but the subtle ones . . . everyone, really listen for those subtle clues, know the Word, and please pray for discernment so you are not deceived.

Yes, I totally agree Jessica. Like Greg said, no need to reinvent Church. We have to listen very closely these days because people are sneaking right into Church with false teaching that basically reinvents Church. I am seeing it everywhere as well, and confronting it when I see it by the way, in love... People are listening to the heresies, false teachers, on line and then bringing it back to their own Church, where they just parrot the false teaching they heard on line, and then become wolves in sheep clothing to the rest of the sheep in their Church! Not good. Discernment. Yes. It brakes my heart actually to see people getting pulled off track, so vulnerable... More than ever before we all need firm foundations that will not give out under the pressure of these tipping point days!! We need good theology and proper interpretation of the Scriptures or we are doomed to fall into deception, not to mention revival never having a chance.... Good endtimes teaching is so important right now. More than ever. People are so confused.... The clock is ticking. The Church must be ready to meet Jesus in the air. 🌻

Agreed. Lies, deception, and I believe a biggie is distraction. Whatever Satan can use to have us take our focus off Jesus, political, technological, etc., all the temporal things of this world. He plants the seed and just waits for it to germinate and takes us down roads we're not supposed to be on.

Yes, and false hope, which points people in the wrong direction. We believe in the Blessed Hope. The hope that Jesus has chosen us and we have chosen Him, to be with Him for all eternity, and that He is coming soon, before He brings His wrath upon a fallen world. 🌻

Expand full comment
J4J's avatar

Yes, false hope too, believing that things are going to get better when Jesus said they would only continue to get worse. We're living in a lawless, immoral, God-rejecting world where everything is relative and centered on 'self' and one's 'rights.' Sometimes it's easy to tell the sheep from the goats, or the sheep from the wolves, or the wheat from the tares, other times, you really have to be discerning and vigilant or they just steallhily creep in.

Just given part of the message - so true. Yes, God loves everyone, but if people can look at the cross and don't see the wrath of God against sin, they won't see the love of God there either. Everyone is so worried about offending everyone else, but don't give a thought to offending God. This prosperity, feel good Gospel that's being preached in all these mega churches I personally believe is part of why people think things are going to get better, if you just believe in Jesus. Yes, and then what? What's the next step? And so many believe this as evidenced by the number of people at these 'motivational' gatherings. Sin and its consequences are never preached.

Happy Sunday y’all!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend (Labor day for 🇺🇸) We took our 3 kids to the lake and rented a pontoon boat for fun tubing. Out of nowhere a storm hit with high winds and torrential rain…. Honestly, it was scary! My hubby was yelling for us to sit down and lifejackets on, but kids were in the water & our son was swept out. We got the girls on safely and had to circle 2x to get Michael rescued and on the boat. It hit me at that moment Jesus and the disciples on the Sea of Galilee— they were terrified and Jesus calmed the storm. Our boat was being tossed side to side and although I didn’t feel like we were going to capsize it was nerve wracking. I was praying!! As fast as the storm hit… it calmed down. We were safe, a bit rattled, but resumed our fun in the sun. I’m constantly reminded how precious life is and to enjoy every adventure God gives on on earth…. Soon we will be at the wedding table with Jesus. Read this today and hope it’s an encouragement— “Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do. And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with—even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department. Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently.”‭‭ Romans‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭💛

Angela, I too seen this when the covid vaccine was mandated. People that I never thought would ever take the jab did. I stood strong in my belief that if one felt pressured to take the shot, then they would definitely take the mark should we still be here. (which, I don't believe we will be). I opted out for religious reasons. However if anyone took the shot, that is up to them, not judging, but I just didn't feel right about taking it. I still stand firm about that and my belief that the Lord's coming is right at the door. I get excited when I think of the next couple of weeks. We could be in homeland!!! Whew!!! Exactly, Ps. Greg! The things going on these days are almost unbelievable. From churches teaching absolute heresy, to the evil that is permeating everything to such a degree I can actually feel it growing (reminds me of the slime in the Ghostbusters movie that grows as it feeds off the hate, violence, and evil being perpetrated), to the wars and rumors of wars, famine, droughts, floods, and so much more. When I try to discount something as having occurred for years, I then get hit with the thoughts of 'yeah, but what about this, and this, and this that are happening as well?!'. I mean ALL. THE. SIGNS. are here!! It has become as obvious as the midday sun shining so brightly in the sky. I am hopeful that this Rosh Hashana will see us whisked away from all this Sodom and Gomorrah that's happening, but I put my faith and trust in Him and know that even if it doesn't happen this September, it WILL happen. God be with us all as we navigate these uncertain and absolutely crazy times. Prepare and Persist Christian soldiers!

I am now 63 and I have seen how much the church has changed over the years. I grew up in a southern Baptist church where we sang hymns every Sunday and learned them at a very early age. I believe they helped tremendously in grounding you in your faith. So many churches have gotten away from these hymns, singing praise songs and holding “rock concerts “. These songs have their place and there is nothing wrong with them, I personally believe this is a part of “diluting” our faith. Many pastors give “feel good” messages instead of true biblical teachings. I have a hard time comprehending the evil from satan that has taken over our world. If this is not a wake up call from God to turn back to him, I do not know what is.

It is so strange you mentioned the hymns because the last week I had "To God Be the Glory" rolling through my mind. I have not heard the hymn in years, but for some reason it came back to me. I couldn't remember all the words to the verses, so I found it on YouTube to listen to the song again. Funny how many wonderful memories came back as I listened to the hymn. There is truly something to be said for the grounding you receive from the hymns.

Compromise...that is something I do when the person I love most in this world wants to do something together that I don't want to do. It's something she does to enter my world even though it isn't really her cup of tea. It is grounding my child for 2 weeks for getting snippy with his or her grandmother instead of grounding them for a year to teach them that they never, ever raise up on their heels to their grandparents. But compromise is NOT watering down the Word of God or skewing it to fit an immoral lifestyle to satisfy my need for immediate gratification and making the rest of the world feel better because they want to change the definition and physical characteristics of a man or a woman. These views obviously get me fired-UP when I think of them so I have to go DOWN on my knees at those times to prevent pride and haughtiness from creeping in.

Compromise doesn't mean bending a knee to political correctness as the world demands we do.

Thank you Pastor Greg for the awesome message and reminder this morning. You got me all primed and stoked for church!

Have a great day brothers and sisters! :)))

You're right Steve. I too get fired up if I watch very much news. I have to look to God to help me. One can get plain ole discouraged if one isn't careful. We see so much evil in the land that it is so disheartening. Now there are even commercials just like it's ok to be homosexual. I'm old school I guess but i don't go for transgenderism, abortion, the woke society. There is nothing wrong with being righteous, but we live in a world where evil is the normal now-a-days. That is one reason why the Lord is coming to get us, and the other is because we are his bride... He's coming to take his bride home!!!!

Hi Gregg. You expect the lost to come against Christians, but it’s eye opening and sad to see professing Christians attacking other Christians that are serving God sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The sifting has begun. Those professing Christians that keep their focus on the world and not Jesus will sadly fall away. But we that serve Jesus need to continue to pray for and encourage our weak brothers and sisters in Jesus.

Hi Dave, yes the sifting has begun. On the bright side, we had the most number of people ever coming forward for baptism this week at our Church, 141, and that is starting to be pretty consistent. Our Church, Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg VA, has a very large online presence, and people are wanting to give their life to Jesus, and be baptized, flying in from all over the place to do so. It is quite remarkable actually, the sifting has begun, and meanwhile God is stirring hearts to receive Him right under our nose. A bit of revival going on there I must confess. Jesus have Your way. People, obviously, still need the Lord! 🌻

I think judgement is already here Pastor Jimmy. To keep the judgement going, God, in my opinion, will take the church out of here, even as soon as this month. I don't think there will be a "red wave" this Nov. because all the believers will be gone, and in my opinion, most of the believers are Republicans, and conservatives, while most democrats, (not all) are non-believers. Lisa

I try not to get political on this site as we are all followers of Christ and all deserve grace, kindness and understanding. I've been on both sides of the political aisle and have seen issues on both sides that are admirable and also disgusting. What I see presently though is much more concerning on the Left. The Democrat party has been taken over completely by incredibly non Christian extremist views. It looks nothing like I remember it being when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s. A few of these include the strong push for abortion up until birth, children being encouraged to mutilate their bodies and take pharmaceuticals to become a different sex, anti Jewish and anti Israel behavior, and on and on. Pastor Jimmy has spoken about how we need to vote based on biblical values, not on party. I personally can no longer vote as a Democrat because it goes against my faith. You said that you always vote as a Democrat. Perhaps we all need to look at the issues and pray for God's guidance on how to vote. There are intolerant people on both sides of the aisle, I totally get it. The most intolerant people I've encountered have all been on the Left but there have been a few on the Right also. I know that conservatives can come across as preachy and ...well...a bit self righteous and judgemental too. Sigh....😕 We all need to get our hearts in the right place. 💙 We need to love and be tolerant toward all of God's people. This divisiveness is just playing into the Devils hands. He's loving this division. With God's help, I know we can do it! GBU 💙

We are all here to learn about end times and we have built a small family of like believers which I love to see but when personal opinions or political values are shared and feelings get hurt then I wonder if this is the right place for me. I think Lisa deleted her post, I don’t know her but I hope she did not leave TP because of again different opinions. The lord loves all of us but let’s remember why we signed up for Tipping Point. I've defended you, though it wouldn't have been in a way you would have known about it. Though none of us agree on everything exactly the same, I've always respected and valued you. I feel like you add a lot of good content and opinion that is worth reflecting on. Looking at the number of posts that have come in response to the original political natured post, it is very clear how strongly we all feel about politics and their alignment in our times. I always used to think I was extreme right but the political world has changed so fast that nothing is the same or even means the same as it was even 10 years ago. Another point is that none of us are probably going to change anyone else's opinion on politics when it comes down to it. For us as Christians, we can step back a bit and take positions on individual issues a bit easier. Anyways, felt bad noticing the remarks that you had been demeaned and felt somewhat unsupported on a number of occasions. I spent most of K-12 being bullied and it still is a tender spot for me. Enjoy your posts sir, God bless your week.

Good comments Justin! 😊 Things are changing and spinning around in such a fast pace. Feeling a bit dizzy here. I used to think of myself as being a bit left of center but those viewpoints are now considered far right. 🤔 The further things have moved to the Left, the more I've moved to the Right. Feels strange. Personally, the stronger my walk with God, any kind of extremism and radicalism on either side is repulsive to me. Lord help us all as we're walking in uncharted territory. 🙏

My sister is running in a state race as a republican and I’m helping her out. She is doing great. It it is eye opening though when you get in that bubble. I know it’s always been a rough and tumble gig. Both “sides” may have very different planks they support but they operate in much the same manner. It’s so strange to get mixed into all this stuff and find out that you don’t even know what you are politically, compared to just a few years ago. We’ve historically been very conservative but now extremism on both sides pushes us somewhere towards the middle the way they look at us. And I hate being in the middle of anything, reminds me of luke -warmness. Unfortunately, much of it has become very self-focused, though there are still some good people working there for the right reasons. I think if we keep our focus simple in serving God and serving people, this is the summary of the law and prophets. It’s where I keep most of my focus. It sure is easy to get caught up and passionate about some of these things and lose perspective I’ve found. Anyways, the way things are headed in the world, it may get much more simple, unfortunately. God will walk every step of the way alongside us though. God bless Jessie 😊

Jessie and David, I’m not so sure politics has any place in this community. That seems to be where conflict starts. I have attempted to support both of you in this community. Jessie, I align much more with you politically but have tried to steer clear of this kind of talk. I learned my lesson when I came across as rude responding to David re: a political issue. I’ve kept my mouth shut since when I’ve wanted to speak up. Not sure who the “woman” or “women” (mean girls) are. I love both of you in the Lord and know you both belong to the Lord ❤️.

I'm sorry your upset, B. This was not directed at you at all. Some very inappropriate things were said to David and he's allowed to be upset about that. Attacking soneones character is not ok. Once again, im not sure why you think this has anything to do with you. I'm not going to discuss this further. Have a good evening!

It helps me to remember to ask the Holy Spirit to help me see as He sees and do as He says while also knowing Satan is the master at division deception and destroying anything of Almighty God’s he can. Best to keep the focus on Our Awesome Almighty God in three Persons cuz every time we go to what we think and what we prefer, we take our eyes off of the One Source Of Truth. Blessings to all as we submit our self righteous selves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit living in us anew each and every day. Pastor Ed Young today taught his insight of the acronym “SELF”. He suggests we kneel first thing when we awaken and use it to guide our prayer: S - surrender to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and discernment, E - express repentance for our stumbles, L - tell Him how much we Love Him, and F ask Him to fill us this new day with His Presence. He is our Friend, God in the Third Person, whom Jesus said He would send to be our Helper. I do not believe any of us can walk in His Will without daily asking for Him to fill us and submitting to His guidance. All Glory to Him not us. Blessings to all as we claim His power living in us to die to our selves daily.

I hope my words helped you feel better. 😊 We all love you David! ( In

an appropriate Christian sister type of way, that is. 🤣) And the bullying helped me to know how to help my own daughter when she went through the same situation. Growing up is tough! Hard times help us to grow. That is, if it doesn't kill us first! 😁

Have a good evening!

Very interesting points David. I would like to add some of my favorite humans.... family and close friends are Dems and I definitely knew you'd comment and share your thoughts thoughtfully. We've been here together on the TP for a long time and I've always appreciated your wisdom and love for Jesus. We may not always agree politically and from time to time I like watching Tucker ;) lol but thanks for being a light here. Thanks too for always keeping us updated with breaking news from Israel. 💛

The world will increasingly view the church as judgemental when believers scramble to discern the scriptures and resist the ongoing deconstruction of the Biblical narrative. Hold fast to the truth and do not waiver for your redemption draws near.
