What I find troubling are the scoffers in the church. May times when I bring up end times with other believers....I hear the same things the world is saying...."oh every generation thought Jesus was coming back in their day" "All of these things mentioned as signs of the times have been happening since the beginning of time...the internet has just brought it to the for front" "Well if the rapture happens it happens but I'm not focusing on it" Is it because it is seldom taught in the church?

It is worse than that. Many have literally been taught the wrong thing, whether in Church or elsewhere, and now they refuse to even consider something different than the bad doctrine that they were taught. I agree, it is heart braking and frustrating all at the same time. It is as though they have giant cotton balls in their ears and they can’t seem to get them out. Today my Pastor started the service by saying that Israel is not the Church - we are the Church. I knew what he meant. On most Sundays I can bear a little false doctrine for their sakes, but today he put me over the top. He used Romans 9 to say that the Kingdom is now and that the promises God gave to Abraham, now belong to the Church. I shot back in my mind that he needed to keep going to Romans 11, but he had the pulpit. It fell on deaf ears. He said we need to keep our eyes on our own nation and not worry about what is going on in other nations… like Israel. And no mention of the Rapture, of course. That was it. I was done. At least for today. I had to walk out. He was spreading a false doctrine to all the sheep in his pasture. I jumped the fence. But I’ll be back.

Kris, I just can't believe how hard it is to find a sound church these days. But you and I both know what he was saying is completely false. Israel is God's beloved; His covenant is with them. When Jesus came, that love was extended to the Gentiles that believe in Him as the Son of God. Is it wrong to go to the pastor and have a biblical conversation about why he thinks this and then have him read through Romans 11? We had to leave our church of 10 years, because one of our pastors became very prideful and preached on such unbiblical things such as evolution, homosexuality-"if Paul were here today, he may feel differently about it...", etc. Just flat unbiblical. Anyway, we thought about approaching our other pastor about how we felt about this "New Age" type of teaching. Literally as my husband and I had just discussed speaking with him, he preached that if we had a problem with the other, we were to take it up with that pastor directly. Well we knew how that had turned out with some other members. He basically told them, "well you're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine."

Sorry for the rant, but I just feel like if you really love your congregation, you should be willing to discuss things in love together. I understand people will not always agree or see eye to eye, but him saying that the Church is Israel is very wrong.

Hi Brianna, I agree. I try to keep those conversations going for as long as possible. Yesterday, when I walked out of Church, it was because my Heart was just so grieved for Israel in that moment, that I just couldn’t stand to listen any more. It was such blasphemy. But the Lord has not released me from that Church yet, for now. He is still giving me, my husband and I, the Grace to stay, as we believe He still has a purpose for us there. But, trust me, like you, if and when that changes, we will be gone. God will show the way. His Spirit leads, we follow…. We wait on Him. We are Living Sacrifices. Come Lord Jesus.

I could be wrong but it looks to me as if he's already told you to leave he allowed you to immediately realize that you were being fed false doctrine there is a verse that tells us bad company corrupts good morals the longer you stay you could be pulled in to more false teachings still feeling that God really doesn't want you to leave because you might have more work to do there no get up and leave getting to an ultra conservative Church that preaches the real truth and witness to those from your other congregation OUTSIDE of their so-called worship service which it's not really...

I hear your heart. This is mine as well. I wouldn’t say I’m the most well versed in the Bible so I always feel like hope am I seeing this and you guys aren’t even concerned. How are we not talking about these things. How is no one even mentioning Israel and what is going on there because it’s the Israel ground zero when it comes to the word?! I’m glad we are all here, not being alone in following the Holy Spirit in what has been revealed. I always wonder, if there is a blessing for those who read and keep the word of the book of Revelation, what happens to those who choose not to? And that book isn’t the only source of prophecy so, what happens when we ignore the rest of it? If I could speed read and understand and remember the word, i totally would.

Those folks you mention are very wrong. the First sign of the Endtimes began the day in May, 14th 1948 when Israel became a Nation in one day. JUST as God said it would, Isa. 66...Things have NOT been forever as we see each day bringing us closer to the Rapture.

I agree with you… mostly. I don’t think it is fair to judge people because they’re not really thinking about the rapture. I happen to be someone who isn’t 100% about all the rapture teaching but I like to keep my mind open. I don’t know when the rapture will happen, I can’t even tell you if it is pre-trib, pre-wrath etc. I read verses and hear opinions and I don’t always agree with them. I have a concern in my heart that there are those so stuck on one particular point of view that if it doesn’t play out exactly as their view says then what will happen to their beliefs? The Pharisees of Jesus time are an example of this. I love Ps Jimmy’s teaching around this but I don’t always agree with everything he says. I keep my eyes open and my heart ready for God as much as I can and when I read verses such as revelation 16:12 where it talks about the Euphrates river drying up and we are seeing that happen now, it raises questions within me as to how the timeline will actually look. I guess the point I want to make is that some people may have what appears to have a blasé attitude about it but just can’t get their head around it and so choose not to focus on it because it is too confusing. For them it is easier to take the broad strokes and focus on the important things than to worry about whether the rapture will happen or not. I know this isn’t true for everyone and there will be people with these attitudes who are scoffers, just let’s not throw everyone into the same category because they don’t believe exactly the same.

Hang on to the 1st sentence above.... They are scoffers... I heard somewhere that when those confused say the "The Gifts & Baptism of the Holy Spirit" were only for the Apostles", and not for us.🙃 PRAISE GOD we all believe what we believe and that statement they say is too late for me. One thing they will never change is MY Testimony!

I'm 84 yrs old, got saved Aug.15,1980 so have seen many changes that pointed to the End Times. Now I see the end of the End Times. Hallelujah..I'm very excited to hear and think about the near Rapture and I have many R Cath family members that not only don't read the Bible but they actually believe that only the Pope can properly translate it for them so they don't bother. Foolishness from Satan. Having been Cath. for many years I can call it what it really is and that a CULT. They NEVER hear the Gospel truth about Ro 10:13 so they are trusting their Infant sprinkling, calling it Baptism (no so- Jesus went down into and came up out of the water, says Matthew and thats IMMERSION) to get them to heaven. Trusting everything but never Asking Jesus to save the, repenting, (Instead they do Penance- saying a couple or Rosaries etc) and turning to God according to HIS will and Not their own. So they never get saved. Those of us who heard the truth of the Gospel and did repent and Ask Jesus to save us according to HIS will have been mightily Blessed and transformed. Corinthians spells it out so clearly, Anyone who is in Christ is a new creature, the OLD has GONE and the New has come. AMEN.. Jesus changes our Behavior and Desires from the devils desires to HIS will. Tho we can still sin we will be Convicted of it and 1st John tells us if we Confess our sins, (TO HIM, not some R Cath priest) HE will forgive us, purify us and bring us back to Righteousness.

I love their ultra Conservative Stand for Everything Scripture, and Baptist by Immersion. Amen Harriet.... I started in a Baptist Church... Never heard of the Holy Spirit except "It" was with the Father & the Son. lol So many people being deceived by so called church doctrine. The CHURCH should be following the WORD of God teaching and nothing else. I remember my grandmother telling us kids that if we needed an answer about anything we could find it in the Bible. But we are in the End of the End Days and as the Bible states (2 Peter 3)there will be scoffers who mock the truth, following their own evil desires & lawlessness will abound. I can hardly watch a news channel anymore, nothing is sacred and everything is allowed and celebrated. Come Lord Jesus, come quickly...

I feel your sadness only its my brother who is in seminary to be a pastor saying this. (Our denomination well my previous denomination teaches that we are already in the millennium only its a spiritual millennium not a physical one). He just said the exact same thing to me that he hates all these "prophecy teacherS" who focus so much on the end times and it harms the message. And that the pre-trib is wrong because the Bible says we will suffer. But I was trying to tell him "WE ARE SUFFERING!!!" For me personally all these prophecy updates have helped me make it day by day since 2020

The season of the end...Amen. Wow! Exciting to think that we all just so happen to live in THE time of witness to what we've read all of our lives. As a child, I remember being fascinated by the wild tales of dragons and futuristic wars, golden streets, and pearl-inlayed gates to a wonderful place called Heaven. I want to express gratitude to you, Pastor, and to all of the Tipping Point community for the constant reminders of comfort and good news. Eyes open, no fear!

What in the world will tomorrow bring? Seems like a new and important event is developing or happens each day. I'm also reminded that so many of our beloved brothers and sisters in Christ are living in constant persecution because of the same faith we share. I've often wondered why I was born here and not there. Let's all keep lifting up our "faithful family" all over our country and the world. May you all have peace that passes understanding in your spirits and the purest love and kindness in your hearts today. I love you all and cannot WAIT to see each one of you and Jesus very soon.

Question for you...if you happen to see this: who in the Bible (other than one of the Trinity) are you most interested to meet in Heaven?

Expand full comment

Great question. I had to think about that one for awhile. Besides family…. I think Keith Green. He was a Christian song writer and worshiper who lived back in the 80s and died in a plain crash in the prime of his life. He wrote many Scripture filled songs that I loved as a new Christian including, O Lord, You’re Beautiful. I fell in love with Jesus to the sound of his piano and guitar. I saw him once at a live covert in Denver and thought I had died and gone to Heaven…. I would love to worship with the angels in the presence of Jesus to the music of Keith Green. Oh ya.

Kris! Thank you for answering. Singing with Keith Green and seeing him in Heaven will definitely be something to behold. I'm going to look for my old CD because of your reminder. So neat that you feel love through music -that is a blessing AND gift. You must be musically talented as well? When I think of the songs we sing that are directly from Scripture, I think of King David and his music/harp that brought a little reprieve to King Saul's torment. Soon we will get to hear the best of the best! You'll definitely be on the front row enjoying Keith Green and I'm sure he and Jesus will be so happy that you are there, sweetest Kris.

Wow. Great question, and one that I've not thought about before. Obviously our father and Savior top the list but others in the Bible I can't wait to meet are the ones who God used to inspire and teach me. I've compared myself to Paul many times and his transparency (along with the Holy Spirit) truly helped to mold me into who I am. Can't wait to meet Pastor Jimmy and Robert Morris as well because God certainly has used them emphatically. 🥰

Oh yes... Paul! Thank you for answering. I love that you share Paul's transparency, Charlotte. A true gift that could only come from Jesus and into you. I also love the way you openly appreciate that Paul was so greatly used by the Lord to present the Good News to each one of us. (Years ago, a close friend of mine (whose family is originally from a small community near India) told me that they can trace their Christian heritage all the way back to Paul's mission work. I remember thinking all day long about what she had shared in passing.) Paul, through the love and intention of Jesus, had a direct impact on her entire family and historical community (so many people)...all the way forward through faithful generations to share that connection with my heart. I don't know if I'm explaining my epiphany correctly but it made me feel so close to Jesus that day -I understood that each soul really is important to Him. Pastors Evans and Morris and their families will be a treat to meet and so will YOU, Charlotte. Sending you blessings...

Thank you for this very timely reminder. I recently had a change in plans and my daughter and I did not attend church last week. I was so excited and praising the Lord when I saw that the message was on the 2nd coming of Jesus. I was thinking, yes! Finally we are going to talk about this. But I had never been more frustrated with a message that merely pointed to Rev 19, said he’s coming, then to another verse, no one knows the day or the hour. To calm down folks like me, seeking the coming times. I couldn’t even finish watching. I was glad my daughter and I hadn’t gone. He said no one knows the time, but it’s been that way so just keep loving and being the light. Many may have found this encouraging. I did not. I felt like this was completely misleading. I walked away with 2 things: thank you Jesus that people are growing in the word, including myself, because we are seeking your times and Bible prophecy. And of folks are going a little wild with seeking, then it needs to be taught. Let us not stop with Bible prophecy at Jesus and forget the rest of what was also said. I’m not sure this will be taught at this church but I pray that it does and I ask, God now what? Keep praying and talking to whomever I can and stir them up? I’ve answered 2 questions from friends about Revelation this past week. People are seeking to understand. Give them wisdom Lord.

So thank you Pastor, for this was timely. I’m so grateful for the time you take to do these newsletters and videos. It helps to know I’m not losing it and it grows me. Thank you.

Another thing that is happening in our families unfortunately right now is Luke 12:53. My parents just finalized their divorce last week, they have been married for 51 years. My dad blames me (totally untrue, nobody ever wants to see their parents divorced, no matter what their age)and now he is saying that I am not his offspring. I look like my older sister and younger brother and I really mostly favor his side of the family. Pretty much everything Luke 12:53 says is happening in mine and my husbands families right now.
