Yes I am ready! I am almost 79 and have experienced the brokenness of this world, its people and myself. Jesus' cords of love drew me to Him in a personal relationship when I was 35. As I surrendered all the brokenness in my life I experienced David's Psalm 23 as He 'restored my soul.' In every circumstance that we encounter in this life as we make Him Lord over it He speaks peace to us knowing He has overcome. This journey of earthly life is not all there is! It is a journey to eternity with Him where He will wipe away every tear. Psalm 56 tells us the He places our tears in a bottle. Thought about that one day and a beautiful picture came into my mind's eye. Our tears are kept so that Jesus may one day wash our feet with them. As a widow now for almost seven years His Word, "Joy comes in the morning" has healed my grief as, "Joy comes in the mourning!" I long to see the beauty of His Holiness in the home that He has prepared for those who chose to become His children when they acknowledged their sin and need for a Savior and found Him in Jesus Who became the sacrificial Lamb of God for the sins of the world. True beauty is found in God alone! Maranatha! Carol
Carol…. What a beautiful testimony of Gods love. I can picture Him washing our feet with our tears….Joy comes in the morning! He’s going to do great things today. Thank you for sharing your almost 79 years of wisdom & beauty.💛 Bless you
I remember first time I thought of Jesus as sooo beautiful. Early in my own rebirth, at a women's bible study for moms of spec needs kids (my daughter has Down syndrome) I heard a lovely sister in Christ share her horrific testimony of being trafficked by her parents as a teen but even worse reliving her buried memory as a small child taken into forest for satanic rituals of which she only recalled after going through Christian Counseling. Her deep memory revealed that her spirit was protected, for she was off in the trees playing with Jesus as adults did unspeakable things to her body. This sister & single mother of an autistic teen radiated the Love & Peace of Jesus. I would NEVER have guessed such brokenness, such trauma was part of her past. I had a wonderful childhood, loving parents raised in a church & yet rebelled until I finally surrendered at 36 at Billy Grahm Crusade after my husband & I were so deep in debt that we were considering bankruptcy & God convicted through Billy's words that I was spiritually bankrupt. I had no reason to reject Jesus all those years & honestly was trying to work my way to heaven. So now 41, hearing such a powerful Survival Testimony caused me to cry all the way home just in AWE of the BEAUTY of JESUS -- to PROTECT a child from HORRORS & transform her trauma, such evil, such wickedness into BEAUTY that I saw reflected in this sister!
Barbara, Thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony and the story that deeply impacted your life. God IS the great Rescuer and Healer and Redeemer. My daughter was born in a village on a trash dump and leper colony in Ethiopia. There are millions of fatherless children all over the world suffering atrocities we can’t fathom but God chose one tiny baby girl for our family. He sees. He sees us. His beauty and love surrounded her and gave her a family—our family. He rescued all of us when we needed Him the most. Her life radically changed the trajectory of our lives when God brought us together. Simply Love. Miracles are all around us and He receives ALL the glory Amen!💛
As always you bless me with your wisdom of God and His Word. You Pastor Jimmy are a mere man but chosen by God to touch His children with the anointing of His Holy Spirit. You reflect the beauty of God in your life of service to His Body. Looking forward
to personally meeting you in Heaven but for now we meet on line. Prayers for you and your family!
No wonder the world is the way it is with people accepting a belief in those “other stories.” Those bleak outlooks rattle me so much that it makes me run to Jesus with a grateful heart and all the love I know how to express. God is so good, all of the time and if we meditate on the beauty of His creation, I experience more is revealed of His beauty!
Pastor Jimmy, thank you for this wonderful Sunday post and your encouraging words for us to keep sharing God’s beautiful story of love. My hubby & I ended our day watching the beautiful TX sunset! It was SO glorious with stunning array of colors only God could paint. I love taking the time to admire His masterpieces in the sky every night as an act of worship! What a reminder that God and His word are beautiful…. He chose us to experience this abundant life with Him and live forever in His Kingdom.💛 Maranatha!!
Thank you Pastor Jimmy for reminding us how beautiful the Gospel of Jesus Christ is. What the enemy intended for destruction and ashes God will back into beauty!! God you are truly beautiful and all You Create is beautiful!
It’s True. Thank-you Pastor Evans for sharing your love for the Bible with so many. And I agree, the older I get, the more I love to peer into God’s Word where the Story comes alive by the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and my Heart is touched over and over again by His Truth and Revelation. Although there is a beginning and an end in this life, this Beautiful Story of Love and Redemption lives in us forever. To Him who sits on the Throne… be Blessing, and Honor, and Glory and Power forever!!
Thank you Pastor Jimmy! I learn so much from you! And I have a question please. I’ve heard others recently teach that the meaning to the passage (Mt 24:41) “two will be grinding at the mill, one will be taken and the other left...” is not that Christians will be removed. Rather, that the unbeliever will be the ones removed. An earlier parable was explained by Christ in Matthew 13:30 saying that His angels will be given the task to... “first” gather up the tares then I will gather the wheat to be put in my barn... Would you please clarify. I always thought the followers of Christ were taken away. And the unbelievers would remain to endure the Tribulation. Your thoughts are so appreciated!! Thank you! Prayers for your life and ministry!
Deana… there are so many different interpretations about the rapture & tribulation but I can 100% guarantee you that followers of Jesus Christ will be raptured in a twinkling of an eye to heaven and…. the lost are left behind enduring the 7 year tribulation. Pastor Jimmy wrote powerful series on the rapture, tribulation and also addressed all the “different” beliefs out there… some are really wacky too. Personally I’ve never heard the interpretation you just heard but Angels are not taking unbelievers first. Hope that brings your heart comfort. I encourage you to go back and read his series. It will give you greater understanding.💛
Thank you! I’ve read and watched so much... and I realize there’s much more to learn. Asking the Holy Spirit to pour out wisdom on us all as we prayerfully watch, and as we still rise to go do every day things. 😊

This was beautiful written. Thank you Jesus for your story of redemption.
When I use the salvation colors to share the gospel, I have started telling it with green for the first color- creation. His story didn’t start with sin. It started with his beautiful creation and Adam walking with God in unity. And one day we will all walk with him in heaven.
Pastor, the way you love God. The way you love us. I want to know God like you, and I want to love my neighbors, friends and family like you do. But mostly, it makes me want to love the stranger, people I dont know, like your love of God, makes you love us. God is good. Thank you for being a teacher. I thank God for you and what you lay in front of me, and I am finally understanding.
I find myself thinking of God, not Jesus in my thoughts and prayers and middle prayer start questioning myself. Jimmy can you please explain the correlation between God and Jesus Christ and if our prayers to God and His Son are the same.
I understand Jesus to have lived in heaven with God before being sent to earth and dying for our sins. Can you please go into more detail about who Jesus was before he was of the flesh?

I often will pray to both God and Jesus separate, unintentionally... and feel I am being disrespectful.
