Thank you so much for the perfect timing on posting this time message. Just like in the days of Lot and Noah… Last night I was driving with my son (who’s almost 20) to pick up dinner. That one-on-one time with my son is always precious because that’s when he opens up about what he’s mulling over.

There was a small group of women on his college campus who were in the public square area who were standing there telling students “you matter”. He felt really good about it until he saw their sign: “<a very crass slang word for prostitutes> for kids” along with another sign that said “no religion here”. He thought it was nice to hear the words “you matter”, but he wondered why they were making a statement that they weren’t doing it to show and share God’s love and kindness.

Then he told me he had been listening to a funny podcaster out of Australia who went off the rails about Texas’s new abortion law. Our son was actually influenced by this podcaster and how abortion might should be a choice. I then explained all of my reasons why abortion shouldn’t be used as a means of birth control and that the “grain of rice” in a woman’s womb is, in fact, a human being. I then asked him “What grain of rice has an actual heartbeat?” He replied that the podcaster tried to say that it’s not an actual heartbeat but rather a fluttering, much like a leaf fluttering in a breeze. I then used the podcaster’s analogy to ask “so the leaf flutters because of an unseen mechanism, i.e. the wind. God is much like the wind in that you can’t actually see the wind, but you can see the effects of the wind in the leaves fluttering. And just like those leaves, the rice grain sized baby has a brain that’s telling the heart to beat. Our very analytical son stopped and admitted that he hadn’t thought around the podcaster’s argument in that direction but that my response made perfect sense.

There was so much more that was brought up and I feel as confident as I can feel, that I met his questions with kindness and tried my best to counter satan’s lies and deception that is so prevalent right now.

Thank you, Jimmy for your timely posts that helped me be prepared mentally to meet the lies and expose them for what they are.

Great Job Chris! I praise God for how the Holy Spirit guided you through that conversation with the Truth that your son needed, right in those precious moments with him, as the enemy was trying to deceive him by the lies of this world. 🌻

Thank you, Kris! To be honest, I was surprised, while not being surprised (if that makes sense). Our son has been a strong believer all of his life, but with the stuff he is being exposed to on a college campus - well, it does put doubts in his mind because he doesn't have enough experience in the world to see through satan's lies and deceptions. We kind of figured it was going to hit at some point, and I do think we become stronger in our faith when we experience these things and have someone to show us how the truth is twisted into evil to try and trap us, but I am so thankful for Ps. Jimmy and this group for helping us be prepared for whatever gets thrown our way.

I wish I could explain things like that to my twins half as good as how you did it with your son. Deception is truly evident on college campuses. Please pray for my twin daughters. I also have a son who needs prayer.

Thank you, Linda. I feel so blessed that our son trusts me (I’m actually a mom) and my husband and is willing to discuss these issues. I truly wish I could get through to my BFF on the subject of abortion. She continues to think abortion should be legal because she’s afraid women will go the way of dark ages back alley doctors and coat hangers to abort their pregnancies. It doesn’t matter what I say, she is completely closed to hearing any discussion on the subject. All I can do is pray that the Holy Spirit can get His foot in the door to open her heart and eyes to the Truth on this subject.

This is so encouraging to me. Just this morning I was confessing to God that as I look around at the world and everything going on, I'm scared. This isn't easy. It's scary, it's troubling, and if I focus on it too much, it steals my joy. Then I opened my devotional and the verse of the day was Joshua 1:9, where God reminds Joshua, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." And I just cried! I just cried and thanked God for speaking so clearly to my heart. Courage is not the absence of fear. It's refusing to be frozen by it. It's remembering WHEN you're afraid that God is with you. And He is fighting for you. These verses encourage me the same way. In the days of Noah and of Lot, God saved them at the last moment. So it stands to reason that God will come for us at the last moment. These awful things are bad, yes, but they should remind me to look up because the closer trouble gets, the worse it gets, the closer my Jesus is! Come Lord Jesus, but may we be productive for you until the MOMENT you come!

Alex - I love this post and find it very encouraging. Although this world is increasingly scary and seems to be plunging into oblivion, may our true hope and trust be in the Lord Almighty who will sustain us through these trials. Per your reference - "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." - LOVE THIS!!!

Many of us Christians have seen very little opposition or suffering on account of our faith, but per Paul let us count it as joy if we suffer on account of the name of Jesus, for whom we're promised to suffer if we're shining bright for Him.

Finally, during these very bleak times my wife and I have increased our diet of true praise & worship music, having private praise sessions many nights in our house and this has really helped us keep our eyes on Jesus rather than the world. One of my current favorites for today's situation is Mercy Me's "We Win". https://youtu.be/nQ8MF_4E0hw

Happy Sunday y’all! Pastor Jimmy you never cease to amaze… I love that this is a shareable post and so easy to understand what the scriptures teach about the rapture! I never dreamed our country and the world would be divided on so many issues, but also how divided believers would be on the rapture. Christians strongly believe in the rapture or they strongly do not—we see it here too on TP! In the end no matter what you believe theologically— if you are a follower of Jesus Christ we’ll meet in the sky in the twinkling of an eye. Thank you for sharing the scriptures on the rapture literally and truthfully. Sometimes I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the NKJV but loved this version… “We can tell you with complete confidence—we have the Master’s word on it—that when the Master comes again to get us, those of us who are still alive will not get a jump on the dead and leave them behind. In actual fact, they’ll be ahead of us. The Master himself will give the command. Archangel thunder! God’s trumpet blast! He’ll come down from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise—they’ll go first. Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds ⛅️ to meet the Master. Oh, we’ll be walking on air! And then there will be one huge family reunion with the Master. So reassure one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:15-18‬MSG‬‬💛💛🦁

Great post! It could be tomorrow. It could be today! I have had to change my thinking a bit to remember that God is not bound by any particular time frame when it comes to the rapture of the Church. And with the World today like a runaway train, in the shape it is in, and the level of deception that we are experiencing now, He could take us to meet the Lord in the air, in the twinkling of an eye, and as the lightning flashes…. at any moment, and we will be out of here and finally home forever. Those Scriptures make it crystal clear, as we see in this post from Jimmy, that the rapture is definitely pretribulation. No arguing with the Bible. Of that I am still quite clear. Meanwhile, we live for Him. Taking every opportunity we get to be His guiding Light, in an incredibly broken World. Until He comes for us, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…. 1 Peter 2:9-10. That you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light!! We March on!!! Happy Sunday!! 🌻

I love the part of the “dead in Christ will rise first” ..... Do you think that the graves will be uncovered and caskets left open for all to see? As a testament to all who are left? Or do you think one would have to search and digest the Word of God first and then go out and find out that all the Believers are no longer in their graves, just like their Savior. Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave! Amen 🦋

Hi Jennifer! Wanted to share something i did recently. My beautiful husband went home to Glory seven years ago this November after we journeyed with Alzheimer's disease for nine years. An urn holding his ashes sits on my dresser. Recently I took the lid off thinking perhaps I will be in the bedroom when his dead body will be raised. I know God can do it with the lid on but it just made me realize how soon the Rapture will be taking place. None of us knows just how things will be left but I believe strongly that after the Rapture many many of those that are left behind will finally bow their knees and confess Jesus as Lord. Most of these will be martyred for their faith but they will have a crown we will not have to cast at the feet of Jesus! My heart sees my family members and dear friends casting their crowns at Jesus' feet as I continue to pray for them this side of Heaven!

Carol... I love your story... hope you don't mind if I share mine too. My husband went home with Jesus 8 years ago March 19th. He also had Alzheimer's but it was in the early stages, so he had more good days than bad ones. His wish was that God would take him home before it got bad cuz he didn't want me to go through it. I was caretaker for my mom who had 5 yrs of not knowing who I was, half the time, not even who she was. My Johnnie (husband) told me when he was diagnosed that he never wanted me to go through the horrors as my mother and me did. Sorry, I got off on a rabbit trail.... His ashes are in a box sitting on my dresser (sound familiar, lol) and I have had some of the same thoughts you've had... My crazy thought is that the Lord will call him up first and he will grab my hand so we can go together. Do you think Father God is just shaking His head when sees what we are thinking... Hope you don't mind that I added my story to yours... Just seemed like we had a lot in common.

😋 Just read what you shared about your Johnnie. Yes we do have much in common Linda but the greatest is that we know the One Who will never leave or forsake us! Isaiah heralds the fact that our Creator is our husband spiritually now. "Till death do us part" has happened but WE ARE NOT ALONE! Paul tells us our bodies are but tents, temporary dwelling places but one day we will receive our eternal bodies which are made for Heaven's glory and being in the Presence of our God! Our husbands have been in His Presence these many years and await their glorified bodies and once again we will be able to hold their hands! (((HUGS))) Carol

Great refresher on the rapture! I think the most misunderstood aspect of the rapture is that it does not activate the 7 year tribulation period. That begins with the 7 year peace treaty enacted by the Antichrist. It will probably take somewhere between 12-14 months for that to take place. Dr John Walvoord... deceased and former head of Dallas Theological Seminary, expert of experts on prophecy called it a period of preparation. It's obvious that during this time is when the Antichrist comes on the scene and begins his ascent as well as most likely when the Gog-Magog war takes place. And this might be when that last days world wide revival takes place that some have been predicting if it's going to happen.

Yes, agreed!

Some scholars say we will see the beginning of the Ezekiel Gog-Magog war, and the destruction of Damascus too, before the rapture.

So, more theory is in the air at this time.

Some bible researcher say it must be a transition period as you wrote, maybe 6-12 months long. But they say because the 7 year period is determined by the Bible with exact days, that mean the transition period must take place before the rapture.

So, its a debate now. We will see.

I just watched an interesting interpretation today, mainly based on the shemeta cycles.

It says the next shemita cycle will start at Rosh Hashanna 2022.

So we will step to the last year now, into that transition era.

We will see...

Very very interesting theories, and lots of info in this video. I think its a "must watch":

I'm aware such could happen before the rapture and do think it is possible. I don't think it's possible for the transition to take place before the rapture because it would be obvious to us believers who the Antichrist is and in motion. I'll watch that video. Thanks for sharing. :) GBU too!

Expand full comment

I just say its nearly impossible to happen when the rapture occure then next day the Antichrist just jumping up and say "Hello, Im here!". :-)

A neccessery transition must to come. The debate is when it will happen: before the rapture or after the rapture. There is no Antichrist before the transition.

But I think its not a serious debate, just some details.

We will not see the Antichrist anyway, we will see Jesus!

I know, but in all my years 40 years of following prophecy... I've only heard Dr. Walvoord and Mark Hitchcock talk about this. It seems to always be discussed with the impression that we vanish, then boom... like you said :). In my opinion, it's serious for those left behind to know and understand this "gap of time" especially for those that will rise up to lead people to Jesus before it's too late. My expectation is that intense false teaching will happen immediately and at first from those who've been left behind that thought they were going to be raptured. Don't want to accept the fact they are not a believer. Lot of folks and ministers are going to start making excuses for why they were left instead of repenting.

Expand full comment

David doesn't Mark see the Rapture as ost Trib? I think I watched a show with him and two other guys speaking about Revelation a couple of years back. There could be a few months gap or it could happen at the time of the Rapture. If these "Agreements" that will come already have the framework it place, as I think they do, then it could be much swifter than 12 to 18 months, it could be at almost the same time as the Rapture, remember, the Rapture happens when the Churches mission is complete.

Lets say its a Fall Rapture as we all assume, if Apophis is this great mountain (April 13 2029) and this DOTL even has to happen 3.5 years after the Rapture, then we would have Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., March and thus you have your 6 months shift, which would be necessary, since its 3 and 1/2 after the Agreements. Thus it would have to be at the Rapture or exactly one year later. If so, we would be looking at the fall of 2024 if there is a one-year gap for the Rapture or the fall of 2025 if there is basically no gap, it would be about a months gap, because you have 6 months, and in Sept. this happens in the middle of the month, and in April Apophis happens in the middle of the month. So, you have a 7 month period and only need a 6 month period.

I think people who miss the Rapture will repent 3ithout excuses because they will have been laid bare by God Himself. There can be no excuses, now some might just up and say te oppose God after that, who knows. But if God left me, I would know why, and others should also. Sin, people lovig sin more than God

Expand full comment

Gonna say something I hope you guys don't mind.... But my thoughts are... I think you guys (men) are way to serious figuring out the months and years... It's simple to me, we go up and Jesus & His Father will take care of the details. 😎

Pastor Jimmy, I want to thank you for the X-O-llent (excellent) XO Marriage Conference in Austin this weekend. 💕 My husband and I were so blessed by the worship, relatable speakers, and amazing encouragement! We even had the chance to meet Brent, he was so kind and we are so thankful for the work he does to bring world class, Godly marriage content to couples in digital, print, and live experiences.

I also want to thank you for this timely article on the distinct difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming. After moving to Austin, we had been attending a gospel centered church here for about a year. Just recently after attending their membership class, I learned they lean more toward covenant theology, which was a bummer. I told my husband that End Times prophecy is such an important part of my faith, I don’t want to attend a church that denies a plain reading of prophetic scripture. Just this past Sunday, one of the pastors preached on these verses in 1 Thes 4 and said that Paul was trying to paint a picture of what Christ’s second coming would be like, that he lacked the words so these verses are the way they are. He also said there will not be a rapture!!!

As you point out here, YES, clearly the rapture and the second coming are two distinct events! It hurts that wonderful Christians deny a plain reading of scripture because of tradition, or perhaps even the enemy’s influence on that tradition (he didn’t want the world knowing when Jesus came in a manager the first time, why would he want the world to know about the rapture of the church and second coming?). All this to say, we are going to start attending a new church in the most unified way possible, we don’t want to discourage the good work that church was doing, but I can’t help but feel crazy having made all of these relationships and they just don’t get how important a plain reading of scripture or end times theology is. I am thankful for a husband who understands, and marriage content to help us work through these confusing issues when church is disappointing or messy. I understand our next church won’t be perfect, but this process made me realize how important theology is to me.

If you read this to the end, hugs! 😂💕

Hi Hannah, my husband and I were just talking today about how nice it is to be in a Church, finally, that teaches the pretribulation view. In the past it did not really matter that much because as Churches, we were focused on different parts of the Bible. No one really talked about end times per say and if we did, we just spoke our hearts in love and agreed to disagree. But now it really does matter to us. We need the encouragement and the Truth from the pulpit to guide and prepare us and to show us the way in these end times. It is so refreshing! Hope and pray you can find a Church soon that will meet your needs in this respect. They are few and far between these days, but they are out there. 🌻

So, the Marriage Supper is used with grim references, but in reality, it just means we get victory over our enemies. Amen.

Hi Lisa, yes, it is a real eye opener to see how many pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, etc. are teaching something other than the pretribulation position from their various platforms. No Blessed Hope there…. But if you look hard, you can still find the faithful few who are teaching the Truth about not only the Alpha but the Omega as well. I am so grateful for these, Jimmy Evans and Amir Tsarfati in particular. What a Blessing! We certainly need the Truth to keep our bearings in these end times. Our eyes remain on Him, and His soon coming…. He is the King of Kings! 🌻

I dont think its started.

If you read the Book of Revelation you can watch the cronological order at the beginning:

Verses 1-3 Church age

Verse 4 the picture of the rapture

Verse 5- tribulation (with the seals)

But we can see previews, I think.

The first horsemen is white, coming to conquer, and having a bow. The word bow here is "toxon". Its the word where "toxic" is coming.

So you see something white like the dress of our doctors, toxin in the hand, and conquer the world.

Cool picture right? But I think its just a preview, not the seal itself!

Then you can see the red horse, which a war horse. He will take the peace from the whole Earth.

Now you can see unrest, and maybe beginning of wars. But its not that scale what stated in the Bible. So, its just a preview now. The coming war and unrest will be huge, around the Globe.

Then you can see the black horse. Some scholar says its about the daily wage and inflation. The daily wage will be equal with a loaf of bread.

You can see the inflation now, but its not that huge like in the book of revelation.

So, I think we have previews, like a rehersal. But its not the "real thing" yet.

And remember: The rapture first, than the flood will coming.

Do you think that when the rapture happens we will hear the trumpet being blown?

Hi Rick, I believe we will hear the trumpet being blown. "It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed." Jimmy has shared this will be a private event, so it's possible only those dead in Christ (in the graves) and believers alive and raptured will hear the trumpet! It will be supernatural, so our ears will hear.🎺

Expand full comment

Yesss!!

And remember, when Jesus raised the whole Earth shaken. And OT saints raised with Him from death.

It will be a huge event - I think - with huge energy, when our bodies will transform to the immortal form.

Perry Stone have a teaching on youtube about the rapture. And he have a theory: Our transformation will emit a huge amount of energy which stron enough to knock out the power grid around the world. Like millions of EMP bombs worldwide. Interesting...

By the way, Perry also cited the NT story when God speaks loud "He is my beloved son..." The people who heard the voice heard it differently. Some heard God's voice clearly. Others heard that sentence but they said it was an angel. And others just heard thunder. So, the people there heard the same thing very differently.

Maybe the same thing will happen at the rapture, when the trump will sound.
