In this second part of my study on Revelation 13, I explore one of the most important prophetic chapters in the Bible, continuing my examination of what I call "the Antichrist chapter." While last time I focused on the first beast who comes from the sea (the Antichrist), today I turn my attention to the second beast who emerges from the earth—the False Prophet. This sinister figure will serve as the Antichrist's accomplice, using religious and economic power to catapult him to global dominance. I outline six deadly activities of this False Prophet: he will emerge from the earth, perform miraculous signs including bringing fire from Heaven, erect an image of the Antichrist for worldwide worship, possibly raise the Antichrist from the dead, give life to the image, and control world commerce through the infamous Mark of the Beast (666). This unholy partnership forms a counterfeit trinity, with Satan empowering both figures to deceive humanity during the Tribulation.
