Thank you so much, lost my lovely husband last year and really grieving and longing to see him. I keep receiving emails from a ' friend' of the SDA religion who will not have it that he is in Heaven but still ' in the grave' until the resurrection. Was feeling very sad and then this beautiful post came through; that's the Lord's reassurance!
Delise, I pray that the Lord fills you with comfort and peace until Jesus returns to take us home! As Greg mentioned above, the concept of "soul sleep" or that a person who has passed remains in the grave is definitely not biblical. For believers, the only part of a person that remains in the grave is the body which will rise and be transformed during the Rapture: "For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible."
Hebrews 9:27 says "people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment." Paul said in Philippians "I desire to depart and be with Christ," and again in 2 Corinthians, Paul says that—to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Hallelujah, our loved ones who have received Jesus and passed are joyfully singing praises to the Lord in heaven!
So sorry, Delise, for your loss. Death is so hard on those of us left behind. I lost my best friend 12 years ago and it took a long time to feel alive again.
Thank you and blessings to all you lovely people for caring hearts. Thank you also to Jeremy for the link. I have sent this scripture to her but she interprets it differently! I will send this link and hopefully that is the end of it; I refuse to get into an argument!
May God bless and comfort you Delise! Not much longer. Tell your friend you politely disagree and maybe talk about other things. Cling to scripture...the Truth!
Hi Delise, I’ll never understand the strange things people say when we’re grieving an epic loss. I’m so sorry you had to endure hearing those ridiculous words. I want to highly recommend buying the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn— it will deeply encourage your heart. My infant son & dad passed away… 100% confident they are both in “Present Heaven”. You’ll learn more about New Earth too where we will live forever & ever with God, but at this time the spirits of our loved ones who are believers are in heaven (all those precious babies too). When Jesus returns (rapture) our loved ones earthy bodies will be resurrected and receive brand new resurrected bodies (us too). I pray this brings you extra comfort. Blessings 💛
Thank you Kari, that's so sweet of you and yes people do come out with things meant to comfort but don't. Also people tend not to contact and overlook because suddenly you're single and somehow they can't relate. I only feel truly at ease with believers who have had the same experience! I need to find this kind of support group, blessings to you, x x
I totally agree with you…. when we lost our infant son all my closest friends pulled away from me (I guess didn’t know how to cope w my loss) so not only did I lose my son I lost my friendships. Crazy looking back…. My family was my rock. I wish like crazy I would’ve had a support community like this. Even now when people say “wonky” things you just have to know what’s true. I’m praying for you new friend💛💛
Wow, you sure have some reading to do here! I love that, and this is why I love this Tipping Point family so much. I especially love that when someone is struggling or hurting you can be rest assured that you are going to get some folks running to you. It happens to me here too🙋♂️and the thing I love most is that I know these folks aren't doing it to be an authority on the subject of grief or hurt, they are doing it to do what Jesus wants them to do. That's some pretty good people to have, huh? 🤗
I'm going to add mine in here too. I'm looking for one of the videos where Pastor Jimmy tells about what happens when we pass from this world, but I have so many saved that I can't point to it directly yet. But to summarize PJimmy's statement from memory:
"We as believers will never be dead for one moment in eternity. We won't be laying in a box
in the ground, we won't be floating around in some purgatory like some people teach. The
moment we close our eyes to this world, we open them the next moment looking at the
face of Jesus."
I absolutely love this statement because it brought me amazing comfort about my daughter, and I knew this was true the moment I heard it, and I use it regularly to give that same comfort to others who are grieving. You may have already heard this but I always like to share it because it brings me comfort every time I am reminded.
Following is a short 10 minute video where PJimmy was talking about this on Daystar. if you would like to watch. It isn't the exact video where he says this, but he still gives great comfort in teaching us about this. :)))
Thank you so much Miss Verna. I'm just reiterating PJimmy's words so I cant take credit for anything. Besides, we all know who that comfort comes from. But thank you, it does still make me smile to know He still finds me useful. 🤗
We just spent the week at the Beach with 2 of our dearest Christian friends, who still look at us sideways when we talk about the Rapture, and Jesus coming soon. This understanding from the Scriptures has got to be nothing short of Revelation…. My heart is sad over their lack of revelation in this area of our faith. On the other hand, as it is revelation, I did have many opportunities to share my own faith in these Scriptures written above, that Prophetically tell the next part of the Biblical story, Jesus coming soon for His Bride. I could see the revelation starting to break through for our friends. Pretty cool! Then on the last day we went down to the Beach in the early morning to see the planets lining up, and I talked about what Jimmy said last week about the planets, as they could be a sign, like the star that God provided for the wise men, the first time He came…. You go Lord!! You are the Bright Morning Star! 🌻
I have been wrestling with the theology of pre-tribulation rapture for a couple months now. I come from a pre-tribulation background for my entire saved life, but I want to point out something that should give us all pause to re-evaluate our beliefs about the timing of the rapture.
The Scripture that Pastor Laurie includes in his support of the pre-tribulation rapture, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15, specifically says, “... REMAIN UNTIL the COMING of the Lord will BY NO MEANS PRECEDE those who are asleep.”
I’ve added emphasis because these words are strong grammatical indications of when the rapture occurs. According to the Scripture, the first resurrection of believers occurs in Revelation 20:4-6. This occurs one chapter after the rider on the white horse, Jesus, is seen coming down from heaven with a great army. John even starts the paragraph with the word “then I saw” which indicates that there is a linear progression following the appearance of the Lord.
I do not intend to cause trouble and please understand that I am coming from a very strong bias towards belief in a pre-tribulation rapture; however, as I study the Scripture as a whole, everything is pointing me in the opposite direction.
Furthermore, most pre-tribulation eschatology supposes that we won’t be on the earth when the man of lawlessness is revealed. The following passage confirms that is not true. Once again, emphasis added to show grammatical structure as it pertains to timing.
“Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ AND OUR BEING GATHERED TO
HIM: We ask you, brothers and sisters, not to be easily upset or troubled, either by a prophecy or by a message or by a letter supposedly from us, alleging that the day of the Lord has come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. FOR THAT DAY WILL NOT
COME UNLESS the apostasy comes first AND THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS IS REVEALED, the man doomed to destruction.”
Hi Andy, Rev 4:1 says a Trumpet voice sounds and John is told "Come up Hither (He's rapturing to Heaven as the church) and I will show you things that will happen hereafter - then he is given visions of the tribulation that we will be missing as we are at the Marriage Supper. Pastor Evans has "The Tipping Point" on You Tube, parts 1 thru 4. Part 3 is about the Rapture. That might give you more clarification. The lawless one will probably be revealed as we are leaving this earth - since we, being filled with the Holy Spirit, won't be holding him back anymore.
John was not raptured, however, as he returned to earth to write what he had seen and heard. I understand the typological analogy being presented, but this belief is based on an interpretation that goes beyond the written Word. Perhaps you are correct, and I truly hope that is the case, but the Bible says “every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” - 2 Corinthians 13:1
Do we have any additional Scripture to support John being a “type” of the church. Not so sure about that, but I am open hearing evidence to the contrary.
However, I will challenge Pastor Jimmy’s supposed timing of the marriage supper of the Lamb. According to Scripture, the marriage supper of the Lamb takes place at the end of the Great Tribulation and just before the millennial reign begins, as indicated in Revelation 19:7-10.
If we believe in a literal reading of Scripture, whereby events have a logical order and are presented with intention, then many events (judgements, abomination of desolation, etc.) take place BEFORE the marriage supper. Therefore, the marriage supper would not take place during the tribulation as the bride is still being prepared.
Hi Andy, I often wonder what it would have been like for all those Jews who were alive when Jesus came the first time, if they had listened to what their OT prophets had said about His coming…. It is the same today. The OT prophets have it right again… about the events on the earth that are now upon us, but many in the Church are looking elsewhere. God had His plan then, and He has it now. Wise men see the star…. 🌻
I love that Andy C has encouraged thousands of us here on TP to “pause & re-evaluate our beliefs about the timing of the rapture.” 😉 That’s one event I’m not pausing or re-evaluating. I believe with all my heart Jesus will rapture his bride BEFORE the tribulation. Keep looking up ☁️🎺🔜
Kris, I’m not sure how to respond to this. What are you suggesting? I’ve read the OT prophetic messages concerning our current times, and they do not support a pre-tribulation rapture eschatology. Perhaps you could elaborate?
With all due respect— Kris doesn’t need to elaborate anything about pre-tribulation rapture! Jimmy, Greg, and Mark… and all the other pastors who have shared their pre-trib belief have already done that for you. I encourage you to go back and re-read the dozens and dozens of posts from 2019 right here on the tipping point and…. In the end make your own decision. Blessings 💛
When Jesus comes to take the Church (all believers, deceased or alive), he takes all deceased first and then the living up into the clouds with him. When Jesus comes down on a white horse with his great army, are we (all who were raptured) not that great army?
Hi Liesl, yes that is correct. We are that army. The elect that are gathered at His second coming, are those who get Saved during the Tribulation and survive. They are taken up to be with Him at His second coming, but we are already with Him as we were raptured 7 years earlier, before the Tribulation. You got it! 🌻
Hi Andy, I would recommend you go back to the archives that Jimmy has given us access to, and read all his posts about pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, prewrath, post-tribulation, Amillennialism, etc. and read them all carefully. They all give the progression of events from the Scriptures that lead the various Believers to come down on those positions. I happen to believe that the Pretribulation position is the most likely. But you may see it differently, lots of people do…. It’s ok. My personal belief is that many Christians will be flying through the air on their way to heaven before they figure out that the Pretribulation position was indeed what God was saying in the Scriptures. It’s Ok. You have free will. You are free to pick any position you wish. If you have believed the pre- tribulation position your whole life, then it may do you good to take a good hard look at the others so you will know for sure which one you really are choosing. It’s a good process. Jimmy has said he was posttribulation for a long time before he finally saw the pre- tribulation position in the Scriptures, and believed! Go for it! It’s a great journey, and you are on it! 🌻
Amen!!!!☁️🎺🔜 Did you see what Amir posted today on Telegram? So good… “Soon, in a moment and twinkling of an eye, we will “put on immortal incorruptibility” and forever be with the Lord. While we do not know exactly “how soon”, and we should not be dogmatic about the length of a generation, what we do know for sure is that the Jews are back in the land, the times are perilous, sound doctrine is not endured, Jerusalem is a burdensome stone to all nations, and the moral climate of the world is as it was in the days of Noah.
That means the tribulation is not far off, the salvation of Israel is at hand, and the rapture of the church could happen at any moment!“
After many months of studying all these positions, my strongest conviction is that the pre-rapture position is not a Biblical teaching.
The fact that not a single believer, whom I have discussed this matter with over the past 2 days, cannot provide hard Scriptural evidence/context for pre-tribulation rapture is saddening. If the only reason believers hold onto this position is because they aren’t ready to let go and test the Scriptures for themselves, then I would recommend they go on a similar journey.
I have listened to every single teaching Jimmy has issued in the past 2 years, and I followed along with the doctrine for some time. When I was challenged by other viewpoints, I realized that I did not have a sound response to those challenges as I was erring by not testing the Bible directly on these matters.
““Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.”
Hi Andy, I appreciate your journey. You are looking at a post tribulation position. I passed on that one years ago. I believe that all the Scriptures that Pastor Greg used today point squarely to the pre tribulation position. My concern is that the post tribulation and Amillennial positions will start to ramp up again with this latest development on R/W. I don’t think the Supreme Court decision changes anything end times wise. Only the wise men and the shepherds saw the star in Bethlehem before Jesus came the first time, so it may happen again. It may be a small crowd that actually sees the Rapture coming before the Tribulation. But I sure hope not. He is our Blessed Hope. We need to go and tell the world as many pretribers are now are doing…. 🌻
The definition of amillenialism is as follows: “the denial that an earthly millennium of universal righteousness and peace will either precede or follow the second advent of Jesus Christ.”
I want to be clear that belief in the timing of the rapture has nothing to do with disbelieving in the 1000 year reign. Please be careful with using such terms to discount opposing positions.
In fact, my original reply to your comment directly quoted the preeminent Scripture that confirms the millennial reign of Christ. Indeed, we will reign with Him!
“Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.”
Revelation 20:4-6
And once again, Paul affirms that we who are still alive SHALL NOT precede those who have fallen asleep.
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For we say this to you by a word from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”
What is really starting to bother me about pre-tribulation eschatology is the amount of outside information being brought in to attempt to support the infallible Word of God.
With all due respect, I have been in deep study on this subject for several months, heard all the pre-tribulation rapture proofs, believed them to a fault for some time, and yet now cannot help but wonder why Bible-believing Christians choose to put more stock in the words of interpreters than in the Scriptures themselves.
I certainly agree with your sentiment regarding living for Christ. My concern lies with believers sharing falsehoods with non-believers. Imagine telling your non-believing friends that they will believe on the day that you disappear and that day never comes.
I also have a strong bias towards the pre-tribulation rapture, but still searched the scriptures for a clearer understanding and even though I have read 1 Corinthians 15:52 many times this is the first time that I noticed that it said at the 7th trump we would meet Christ in the clouds. Revelations 11:15 describes the 7th trump and I am no bible scholar but that seems to be before the appearance of the anti-christ which means christians would not go through the tribulation. The other trumpets don't sound like they will be much fun either but it sounds like 1/3 of the world will survive them so maybe christians will be protected during those trumpets. Your thoughts?
When I first started questioning my beliefs about the timing of rapture, I too saw evidence pointing to the rapture before the wrath of the Lamb. However, Jesus very clearly said that the weeds would be harvested and thrown into the fire FIRST.
““‘No,’ Jesus said. ‘When you pull up the weeds, you might also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I’ll tell the reapers: Gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles to burn them, but collect the wheat in my barn.’””
Matthew 13:29-30
“And another, a third angel, followed them and spoke with a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is poured full strength into the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb, and the smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or anyone who receives the mark of its name. This calls for endurance from the saints, who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.””
Revelation 14:9-12
“Another angel came out of the temple, crying out in a loud voice to the one who was seated on the cloud, “Use your sickle and reap, for the time to reap has come, since the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So the one seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.”
Revelation 14:15-16
Revelation is chock full of exhortations for endurance among the saints. God has not appointed us to wrath, so yes, we will not be subject to the wrath of the Lamb. However, we will be subject to the wrath of the beast. It’s clearly laid out in the following passage.
“The beast was given a mouth to utter boasts and blasphemies. It was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. It began to speak blasphemies against God: to blaspheme his name and his dwelling — those who dwell in heaven. And it was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. It was also given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. All those who live on the earth will worship it, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered. If anyone has ears to hear, let him listen. If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance and faithfulness from the saints.”
Revelation 13:5-10
Folks, are you prepared to endure? I was not. Everything I so dearly held to has been challenged by the Scripture. If I believe the Word to be infallible, I deceive myself if see what it says and choose to ignore it.
Could it be that those are the people who are left behind who become believers after the 7th trump (rapture) who will go through the tribulation and if they don't take the mark of the beast they will be saved?
That’s a common explanation given by pre-tribulation scholars. The argument is that there are pre-tribulation saints, post-tribulation saints (aka left behind saints who come to Jesus), and the saints who have fallen asleep. When I dig through the Bible, in English and in the Greek/Hebrew languages, I don’t see support for that belief in Scripture. If it’s there and someone can point me to direct evidence from the Bible (not theories), I would gladly reconsider.
I would pose this question to you in response, however:
Why should believers in relatively unopposed/non-oppressed areas of the world be exempt from suffering trials and persecution like the early church or believers in heavily oppressed communities around the world do today?
I previously thought that not believing in the pre-tribulation rapture was dangerous because we might be left behind. I’m starting to think it’s more dangerous to believe that suffering for Christ is unpalatable and worthy of exemption.
He paid the ultimate price for us. Are we prepared to “love not our own lives unto death” for the sake of Jesus Christ?
Now, Jesus himself said that we should pray we would be found worthy to escape all these things. But when you read the context of this passage, Jesus is explaining that when we see these things beginning to happen, we should pray that God will give us the strength to stand before the Son of Man. Will we be able to stand in the face of the persecution and trial? Will we resist the mark when we start to go hungry, are beaten and bruised, thrown in prison, and sentenced to death?
“Be on your guard, so that your minds are not dulled from carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, or that day will come on you unexpectedly like a trap. For it will come on all who live on the face of the whole earth. But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 21:34-36
Notice how he says it will come on ALL who live on the face of the earth, and then He continues by exhorting us to pray and have strength AFTER the preceding statement.
Thank you for your article it encouraged me.. I lost my wife of 48 years to covid. It was sudden and devastated my family, my church and friends. Jesus did not take her but He was there to receive her. She left me He did not. ONE DAY, what a glorious reunion that will be! Come Lord Jesus!
These scriptures are more and more comforting in the growing darkness. The overturn of abortion this week highlighted just how cold hearts have gotten in our country and around the world. I am so looking forward to the righteousness and holiness of God and having the sin nature removed from me and eventually all creation. It is our Blessed Hope.
I am so ready to escape this world and receive all that God has for me. Though I am not worthy, yet Christ is preparing a place for me in heaven. I just had to say goodbye to my little fur baby Thursday and my heart is grieving for her as she was my best little friend and it’s so hard not having her around. What joy she brought me! I pray I will see her in heaven again along with some very special people!
When asked, “Do dogs go to Heaven?”, Evangelist Billy Graham answered, “God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in Heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he’ll be there.”
I wondered about our pets being with us in heaven and I was lead to the verse “ with God ALL things are possible “. So I know I will see my precious pets again! 🙏
Yes, it’s been a devastating week. But she’s no longer suffering. According to what I’ve read about near death experiences there are animals in heaven 🤗
I know the Bible doesn't actually say our pets will be in Heaven...but it would be just like our Loving Amazing God to reunite us with them! In spite of everything happening in our world today - I love it here so much - but I'm praying everyday for God let us be raptured "today" - we're homesick!
Sorry for the loss of your fur baby. Fur babies bring such joy into our lives, it is hard when we lose them. I hope your fur baby is waiting for you in your mansion when you get there.
I'm so sorry Diana. 😞 I remember just a few weeks ago that you were asking what others thought about our pets in heaven.
I'm not a "feel-good" type of messenger because I want to hear and know the brutally-honest truth regardless of what it may be, but I do believe strongly that God is not surprised by one single thing that happens to us here because His ways are so much above our understanding. Although these things are painful, I know that He will use those things that hurt for our good. Maybe He is using this situation to make that moment that you arrive one that you will never, ever forget. We know that He is building and preparing that place for us right this moment, and He knows that His time of return is any moment now. So, I really believe strongly that He is using this pain and turning it around to make that moment (in the very near future!) so amazingly wonderful and overwhelming for you so that you will have so much blessing and emotion that you can't contain it all?
I can only imagine what it will be like the moment you arrive and your precious husband is there to meet you with the best smile and hugs you have ever known...and your fur baby is right there with him. I know I can't wait for that moment. I just can't.
Again, I don't just say things to make people feel good but I'm sure going to say it when I believe it without one iota of doubt! Praying for your comfort Ma'am. :)
Here is an amazing video that just came out a few days ago about the Rapture. It covers all 7 Raptures in the Bible, starting with Enoch, Elijah, etc. Funny: I fell asleep watching it last night, so please do not watch this at 10:00 at night!
This is wild........I watched this yesterday too! I watched this yesterday afternoon. I know better than to watch late at night because I would have fallen asleep too :). I have accepted "the old gray mare just ain't what she used to be" so I have my TV time in the afternoon :)
HA! I wish I could say that I was the same way Jeremy because I think that falling asleep thing is a blessing! I'm just the opposite because I start getting tired then I think I will just turn on one of PJimmy's videos and doze off watching it...nope. 😡 I get all into it and start looking up the scriptures he mentions, then comes the coffee...
Then the next day I'm walking around with a face like ➡️😡 ...Hehe. I love that emoji!...😡
Thanks for sharing the link and hope you and your family are doing well!
GBU pastor Greg ....... As many of us on this site have expressed, I'm also looking forward to the blessed Rapture, that great reunion with my little sister, Rodica. God, in His infinite sovereignty, saw it as appropriate to take her to heaven in December, 1980. She was 18 at the time and I was 21. She had received Jesus as her savior about 3 years prior, and her conduct and her personal relationship with Him assured me that she ended up in heaven that night. I have wondered (only for a short time afterwards) why I survived that fateful accident. I concluded that God's purpose for me on earth was still in progress and my time wasn't up. I was then, and I am now still comforted beyond words that my little sister ended up in the right place........... Zero doubt ....... Considering the current rapid-changing events around the globe, the Rapture can certainly happen today. Until then, we'll do our part showing others God's amazing grace ....... Forward & Upward, and may God bless our TP family :)
I lost my son at 20 weeks. He had the cord wrapped around his neck and so I delivered him. I held him perfectly formed in a little, yellow flannel cloth, which I have to this day. The pastor of the hospital came in and we did a name ceremony ... David James. I will see him in Heaven along with my son James David, who came 2 years later. 😊 Jesus Christ gives us HOPE!
Beautifully written with such emotion and great quotes from the bible. Thank you fir sharing about your son Christopher. May you see him again and be living in exctacy with JesusGod the Holy Spirit
My wife passed away also in 2008 and I look forward so much to that reunion with her and others and especially to see my wonderful Lord and Saviour. Looking for that blessed hope!!!
Thanks so much for that. Teaching after teaching, week after week, you, Jimmy and Mark continually hit the nail on the head and answer questions before I ask them. God must be hearing my thoughts and speaking the answers to me through you as I ask them.
In my Christian walk that has never happened to me before and I just praise God daily for that 😊
Thanks for this beautiful reminder of the awesome Rapture we so eagerly await. Everyday I pray it comes soon. I’ve noted the scriptures so I can reread them. This world is not our home and I look forward to being with Jesus and my friends and family who have gone before me.
Beautiful article! The Rapture is truly one of the most uplifting and hope-filled prophecies in the Bible! We know this day is coming rapidly so the anticipation of seeing those we've loved and lost, possibly very soon, brings an overwhelming amount of excitement and joy!
The desire to see and be with Jesus and those we have lost is definitely not escapism. Scripture even instructs us to be "looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ"—Titus 2:13
One way to keep this hope alive is by talking with others and having discussions about eternal life and what it could be like. Nothing brings peace quite like having conversations about heaven or dreaming about the eternal world which we will soon encounter.
How do you picture the eternal place the Father has for us? As my family can attest, I wouldn't consider myself a singer. I don't think I would make the cut on American Idol. But I wonder, in heaven, what will our voice sound like as we lift up our praises to God?
I envision having a angelic singing voice. I imagine this is something a lot of us wish we had here on earth. What fun it would be to use our vocal instruments to belt out worship songs for our savior and really hit those high notes :)
God bless you!
Thanks for that lovely comment. It soothes lots of peoples souls I'm sure.
Maranatha
So sorry, Delise, for your loss. Death is so hard on those of us left behind. I lost my best friend 12 years ago and it took a long time to feel alive again.
God bless you, Delise! This may be helpful as well: https://www.gotquestions.org/absent-from-the-body.html
Hi Miss Delise,
Wow, you sure have some reading to do here!

Steve, this is Verna Dobbs.
That was comforting on Many levels. You, sir, are a gift. That was very kind.
Maranatha
Thank you so much Miss Verna. I'm just reiterating PJimmy's words so I cant take credit for anything. Besides, we all know who that comfort comes from. But thank you, it does still make me smile to know He still finds me useful. 🤗
Much appreciate Steve, thank you so much!
Grieving is a process. ❤️ to you.
So sorry Delise. That has to be hard. Rest and trust the Lord. He will give you peace.
Amen !!
Thank you & bless you Linda, the pain is so deep it's indescribable but I am aware of going through and not going under! Thank you Lord!
Yes, I am looking forward to the Rapture. I lost my husband 6 months ago. I am looking forward to seeing him again.
Karen, I’m sorry for your loss. It is very hard for us who mourn the loss of those we love.
Karen, I’m so so sorry for this epic loss of your husband. Wrapping around you in prayers with TP family.💛
Sorry for your loss, Maggie. I lost the love of my life 12 years ago and yes, still have moments of sheer sadness missing him.
HALLELUJAH, Kris, and Amen
Hi Kris,
I have been wrestling with the theology of pre-tribulation rapture for a couple months now.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
Keep looking up ☁️🎺🔜
💖💖❣️❣️💖💖
You got it! 🌻
Kris,
Could you share where this progression of events comes from in Scripture? Particularly the rapture 7 years before His coming.
Kris,
After many months of studying all these positions, my strongest conviction is that the pre-rapture position is not a Biblical teaching.
Key words being then. Notice the progression of events.
Matthew 24:29-31
1 Thessalonians 4:14-16
Thank you for the Bible Study Resource. I have never seen this one. I have been using E-Sword. Will definitely look this over and study it.
Amen! 🌻
Terry, I’m so sorry for your devastating loss. Oh that we all go home soon!
Exactly. I am also so ready to having my sin nature removed. Come Jesus Come!!!
Amen and Praise Jesus.
I agree 💯
That's very sad about your little fur baby... May you one day see her again... They are so very precious to us.
Yes, it’s been a devastating week. But she’s no longer suffering. According to what I’ve read about near death experiences there are animals in heaven 🤗
I'm trusting they are there too. We can't put God in a box either when it comes to His creation.
I know the Bible doesn't actually say our pets will be in Heaven...but it would be just like our Loving Amazing God to reunite us with them! In spite of everything happening in our world today - I love it here so much - but I'm praying everyday for God let us be raptured "today" - we're homesick!
Oh I'm so so sorry. I feel the pain. Our furs are so apart of our hearts. Ughhh really sorry.
Thank you. It is very hard. Just printed out a bunch of her photos to make a memory book.
These things help. I still have my old dogs pictures up and paw prints. We do what we need to do to grieve. 🤍
Amen! I am looking forward to the reunion with family members and friends who have gone home before me!
Come Lord Jesus. Have you ever stopped to ponder how excited Jesus, the Trinity, will be when we are raptured? 😍
Wow, never have, but now I will. Thank you again Pastor Laurie. As they say, "You Rock". 😉
Nice article, Greg!
Here is an amazing video that just came out a few days ago about the Rapture. It covers all 7 Raptures in the Bible, starting with Enoch, Elijah, etc. Funny: I fell asleep watching it last night, so please do not watch this at 10:00 at night!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0rtFhVKAdlE&t=872s
God bless you
Ingrid xxxxx australia
😁
