Happy Saturday TP!! Pastor Greg, I really loved today’s post. We really needed it! “The Bible is the one and only book that we can completely trust.” So much is changing all around us in rapid speed and I’ve noticed personally experiencing more anxiety piling up… and most of the time no clue why. It’s just there. Your last paragraph nailed it …. “He has the power to lift you above yesterday’s mistakes and today’s anxieties, and then open the door to heaven for you when this life is over.” I’m working on letting go every single day of worry and anxiety and plugging my soul into the Source who gives us His power… we have another day to love big & serve big until the last trumpet & twinkle. Does anyone have any prayer requests? 💛

Thanks Pastor Greg, very insightful this morning to know that we have a book in the Bible that let us look into another dimension. To know that in the end Christ rules and reigns with regency and power. To Him be glory and honor amen and we will be with Him.

Many years ago, I had some confusion and apprehension for this book. Then I came to realize that it we were going to be the ones that would experience this (up to the rapture). and be involved with all the people from that time as well. I determined to go through it and gather good teaching about it until I understood it on a reasonable basis. I’ve read or listened to it probably 100 times and much of the other related Bible books as well. It’s like watching a movie a bunch of times. Little things that you miss or don’t make sense start jumping out where you can take critical looks at each of the questions. For me, it has been an enormous blessing. And surrounding oneself with other good people that appreciate the same. After so many trips through, I have come to the conclusions that are largely embraced by the group and taught by many good teachers, including our hosts here. The more we consume the Word of God, the better off we are. The whole Word of God is quite conclusive and without contradiction. This book is so exciting, as well as the other books where He speaks “You”. When reading carefully, it becomes clear He is speaking directly and in person to us. This has such huge meaning to me. A lot of people through history would live to see what we are seeing and experience the wonders of our modern world. For me, other views outside of pre trib rapture have critical errors. There’s other areas of study to explore of course and other prophecy. I’ve noticed some interesting things in the many end times teachers. Most of the ones that teach pretrib I find to be quite humble. Many of the other teachers of other positions I’ve found to have some troubling fruit, red flags to me. Mostly in the way of pride, arrogance or condemnation of people they don’t agree with. Pride is where all problems pretty much started. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. These are red flags I feel for the motivations of certain people in authority.

I love reading Bible prophecy. And I love how God reveals it to those who seek and search. In order to understand prophecy, one must know history and what has already happened. Rightly dividing the Word of Truth. I have always loved the study of prophecy. Thank you, pastor Greg for this reminder today. Blessings to you and yours.

I used to approach the book of Revelation with fear and dread. I am so thankful for this group and all of the peace it has given me.

I agree! I think of it like knowing a movie I have watched a thousand times. God knows the entire universe by heart. He knows every character and every line. To Him, all of this has already happened. Being in linear time, we are still the actors and actresses making the movie he has already seen.

Hi Kari,

Could I ask for prayer for my 21 yr old son,

Nathan. He was diagnosed with Asperger‘s 6 years ago and life has included a lot of challenges & rejection leading to depression & anxiety for him. He is now questioning everything.

Would you pray and agree with me in prayer that the Lord will reach Nathan where he’s at with his love, acceptance and peace that Nathan needs to know so desperately.

Thank you so much!

Love this post Pastor Greg! Thank you for remaining faithful to edify us every week. The statement that stuck-out most to me in this Quick Hit was "He doesn’t just predict the future, He has been there. In fact, He’s there right now, just as much as He is with us in the present moment."

He goes before us...now that is a fear and anxiety conqueror! Makes me walk into a battle like this...https://photos.app.goo.gl/JEov2UATcZJNxs2W8

Pastor Greg Laurie's post today on "Why Read the Book of Revelation?" was a blessing!

The Holy Spirit also spoke to me in the words of Pastor Jantzen Franklin which I so needed. I share it with you my TP brothers and sisters.

We Might Be Weak, But We're Still Anointed

COMMENTARY

Have you ever felt so bogged down by the cares of this world and the pressure of trying to live your best life, that you go numb? It could become such a familiar feeling that you resign yourself to sitting on the sidelines of your life. There's no real joy; you're just trying to get by.

I can't tell you how many times I've wondered why, as followers of Christ, we can feel overwhelmed and depressed. I know many Christians who feel massive guilt because of it. The truth is, even those who love and serve God can be burdened by depression. After all, just because we're Christians doesn't mean we're immune to the pressures of this world.

Here's an encouraging truth: it's possible to be anointed and still be weak. In this life, you will experience seasons where you feel fragile, but it doesn't change the authority you have in Christ in every situation. Weakness and divine anointing can stand together.

It's a feeling King David knew all too well. In fact, this man wrote most of the book of Psalms, a work of beautiful poetry using language that is not always optimistic but real and raw. If he felt alone, he said so. If he felt downcast, he was honest about it. If he felt dismayed, David was not ashamed to make it known.

I find it interesting that the Kingdom of God is one of opposites. It's possible to be poor yet rich, to have joy in the midst of sorrow and peace in the middle of a storm. In 2 Corinthians 12:10, Paul said, "When I am weak, then I am strong." On the surface, that certainly doesn't make sense! His point was that when we're overwhelmed by the circumstances of this world and feel like we can't handle it anymore, it gives God room to work in our lives.

On those rare occasions when we feel like we have it all together, we tend to forget that we were meant to rely on His strength, not our own. Overwhelming seasons can draw us closer to Him if we humble ourselves and remember that we were never meant to handle things apart from His mercy and grace.

As Christ-followers, we can have troubles in our marriages, endure trials in our jobs or be overcome with worry when our kids seem off track. Sometimes, when we're groaning, "I'm weak, I'm depressed, I can't do this," God's greatest purpose is on its way into our life. He intends His greatest marvels to come when we're at our lowest.

When you feel overwhelmed by this world and depression sets in, you must remember to define yourself by your God-given identity, not your circumstances. You may be weak on the outside, but on the inside, you're anointed. Your truest identity is that you are part of a royal priesthood.

Dig Out of Depression

A powerful way to get out of the place you're in is to open your mouth and speak about Jesus. The last thing the devil wants you to do is to speak about the promises of God and praise the Lord. But that's the first thing we must do in order to overcome overwhelming discouragement or depression. We need to send our words out in the direction we want them to go.

In other words, we need to start speaking about victory when we're staring at defeat. We need to talk about healing when we're feeling sick. We need to speak about blessing when we don't have anything and we need to talk about marching when we feel like quitting. The power of faith is activated through your senses—through hearing and confessing.

This is why the enemy wants us to shut our mouth. He does not want you to praise the Lord and he certainly doesn't want you to talk about victory. He knows that if he can take you down mentally and emotionally, you'll be less effective for the Kingdom of God.

The Bible instructs us to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2). Renew your mind with what God says in His Word. Read the Bible. Soak in its truth. Memorize it. Meditate on these words of David in Psalm 18:1-2, "I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

We don't have a say in the conditions of this world, but we do have a say in the choices that we make in life. Refuse to get stuck in a permanent place of discouragement. When you feel weak, remember that you're an anointed child of the Most High, the member of a royal priesthood and deeply loved by your Creator.

May the Holy Spirit speak and minister to all that

need this word today! I know it did me and I will take His comfort to my soul.

Hi Jimmy, Just want to say how much I appreciate your work and all that you’ve done for the growth of my believers. I’ve read Tipping Point (3) times and I love it.

Concerning Rev. 19:7-9,If the wedding feast is said “ the time has come for the wedding feast…. How can we have been in heaven at the beginning of Rev. 6 when the Anti Christ comes on the sene around the same time? The Tribulation period seems to be the 7 years we would be in Heaven at the Wedding Super of the Lamb. How can they talk about the time of the Feast has come at chapt. 19. Very confused. Hope you are able to respond. Really would like to hear from you.

All of this is so true! In my lifetime (69 years) my understanding of Revelation is getting better and better. It is like the closer we get the more it all makes sense. God’s Word just amazes me more and more each time I read it.

I have been reading the comments and I understand what you are each saying. My heart is broken over a brother whom I love dearly but will not let me talk to him about the Lord. He grew up in church just like me. All we can do is pray for those. Witness when we can , write letters when you can and leave the rest up to the Lord. When we stand before Jesus we will have done what He asked us to do! I recently witnessed to a friend and he said to me "I still don't believe but I can't say I haven't been witnessed to". Broke my heart but what else can we do? Pray. That's all our Lord expects!

Pastor Greg. Thanks for this Heavenly and practical teachings on the Book of Revelation. I loved the share that; When He says that a certain event will happen, you can take it to the Bank ( I retired from a large corporate Bank after 27 years of service). God’s investment in His Kingdom. It’s as though it has already taken place. God knows the End from the Beginning! God isn’t affected by the duration of time; Past, Present, or Future. He has been there, He is there right now, and He is with us in the present moment! So thankful for His Presence all the time. Blessings to you and family. 🙏
