Tipping Point Readers,

I was shocked and devastated by Cindy Clemishire’s account, published this June, and

I applaud her courage to come forward. First and foremost, I pray for God’s comfort to

surround Ms. Clemishire, her family, and all those who know and love her.

Prior to the launch of Gateway, Robert Morris shared with me that he “had an affair with

a woman in [his] early 20s.” He represented that he stepped out of ministry and was

fully restored. I was unaware of anything like the allegations shared last week until I

read Ms. Clemishire’s story in the Wartburg Watch.

In 2020, I resigned from Gateway Church. At that time, I formally severed all ties with

Gateway after expressing my deep concern over the dishonest and toxic leadership

environment created by Robert Morris and the Gateway leadership. As a result,

Gateway removed all of my messages and materials from their website and store.

Though my heart is heavy on this matter, I’ve chosen not to make a more formal

statement than this as I have no details to add. I look forward to continuing to serve you

on Tipping Point with content related to biblical prophecy.

I truly love Jimmy Evans. He’s a man without guile. He’s has integrity all day long. He’s never been the hero of his own story. God is his hero first and his wife Karen second. I’ve had blessing of working with him for the last 8 years and have witnessed him in many settings. He’s the same person every day that we all see in podcasts and messages. That’s my testimony. And that’s all I will say.

Just the fact that they don't want to pursue the teaching of the end times is enough for you to want to go your own separate way. After all, it's a big part of your ministry. Pastor Tony Evans just recently announced he was stepping down from his church position due to a sin that occurred many years ago. It seems like the cancel culture is working overtime. Thanks for sharing your position, as it seemed important to many on this platform. Thank you Jesus for washing us as white as snow. Thank you for your devotion with spreading the gospel. You and your staff is greatly appreciated.

Hi Maggie, in regard to Tony Evans, his decision came after much prayer and meeting with his Elder Board. The decision he made to step down appears to be out of humility, to restore his personal relationship with God, and to walk his talk, which is commendable. I don’t believe it has anything to do with cancel culture. God is pleased with humility and repentance- a contrite heart, He will not despise. The Lord is purifying His Bride and purifying leadership within the church. He is holy.

I agree. I read another article about Robert Morris carrying on with his situation for a long time. If I was the parent, I think I would have called the police besides the church. I pray for a complete healing for everyone involved. Such devastation.

Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The Wartburg article cites that the abuse began on December 25th, so this appears to me to be demonic: a targeted affront to Christ, destroying the lives of Robert and Cindy in the process.

I’m encouraged that God has this and His entire Church under control, and He is loving but just:

Hebrews 12:6 NKJV

For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives."

Having been a member of Gateway Church until 2018, when we moved away from the area, my question is, did I lead my family into a ministry of wolves in sheep's clothing? Were the teachings we sat under biblical? This is so sad and upsetting for so many reasons. Pastor Jimmy, we always have appreciated your teachings. Thank you for your continued shepherding.

Pastor Jimmy shares he left in 2020 but I believe God goes through, behind, in front & all around. He’s not surprised & will work His good in all of it. This was a wicked sinful secret that only a select few knew about. But you & your family would never in a million years know what was going on—and thousands others too. I always attended when Ps Jimmy preached. Now we pray big for so many hurting people directly involved as church family. 🙏🙏

I agree Kari, I do not think Pastor Jimmy had any idea what the real situation was. I saw a video on YouTube with a former employee (don't remember his name) who was being interviewed by CBN. He stated that Morris had told him (and others) he had an inappropriate relationship with a "young lady", which led him and others to think she was in her early 20s. He had no idea that the "young lady" was actually a 12 year old girl. I think Pastor Jimmy and many other current and former people at that church are totally innocent and did not cover for Robert Morris in any way, shape of form.

I don't understand this "restoration" process. I thought a pastor was removed from the ministry if he commits any sexual immortality. For instance, I know of one pastor from Gateway that was removed (all video or mention of him was removed from Gateway website and YouTube) for turning in his laptop with signs he had looked at porn. Why couldn't that pastor be restored instead of fired? It doesn't make sense.

It’s tempting to look over the landscape of today’s world and wonder where that Antichrist will come from. In the Left Behind series, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins guessed that the Antichrist would come from Romania. I have a guess too and I am watching him. He is a fighter, but also a peacemaker, and already a friend of Israel. Is it him? Time will tell. Is he about to drop on the scene? I hope so. Is he AI? Don’t know. Am I wrong? Probably. I want to go home to Jesus. Let’s get this over with. While we are still here, prayers and more prayers for all those who are still holding out on Jesus, and especially for God’s Chosen nation. Hi Kris, grass cutting time, but I can tell you briefly(ME BRIEF? Hmm), we do know where he comes from because Dan. 8:9 tells us with 100 % accuracy. He can only be from Greece because of the Directions he conquers "(Waxes Great Towards) in. Towards The East/Seleucus (Turkey) towards The South/Ptolemy (Egypt) and towards Israel. So, that means he has to conquer from the Northwest Corridor of the four Greek Generals, or Cassander/Greece. He also has to arise to political power in Europe, and Greece is the only nation of those four generals who are in the European Union, he has to fulfill both. He also has to have an old Assyrian bloodline.

So, he's Turkish/Iraqi (Old Assyrian Empire) in bloodline, whose family at some point migrated to Greece. Now as we look at Daniel 11, it makes so much more sense, every king named was a Greek king from Alexander the Great to Antiochus Epiphanes IV, who was an archetype Anti-Christ, who defiled the temple and killed 60-90 K Jews. So, verses 36-45 being about a Greek king jibes.

God Bless, I kept it short.

It's an interesting game to play for sure. I have my "suspects," including Charles, Bin Salman, and (gulp) even Trump. I know that will ruffle some feathers and it pains my heart to even consider it, but did Judas know the part he would play in the death of Jesus? Did he know he was the Son of Perdition, or did he think Jesus gave him permission to carry out his plan to force the Lord to become an earthly king with the words, "Do what you do quickly"? What I do know for certain is looking for the return of Jesus brings peace. The other doesn't.

Expand full comment

The reason I don't think it is Trump is because they are too many people who dislike him. The antichrist will be seen as benign in the beginning. Trump is seen as anything but benign in some quarters.

The Bible doesn’t say he will be seen as benign. It just says he will have the answers and the power. I hope it’s not him. I really do.

Correct Kathy, he has to be born in Greece because of Dan. 8:9, as a Prophesy guy of 40 years about 8 years ago after I had my heart attack and slowed down, and studying in depth with pray, the Lord showed me things I had never noticed for the 30 prior years. God gave us 4 Generals who took over for Alexander the Great, and this end time King will conquer in three Directions.

Dan. 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a "little horn"(AC/Beast), which "waxed exceeding great, toward the south"(means Conquers in that Direction, because he does the SAME to Israel below), and "toward the east", and toward the "pleasant land" (Israel).

So, in this 4 General Kingdom we get the End Time Little Horn (AC) conquering towards the East (Seleucus or Turkey today) he conquers also towards the South (Ptolemy or Egypt today) and towards Israel.

So, he can only conquer from the Northwest Corridor, or Cassander, which is Greece. Out of all four, only Greece is in the European Union. He also must arise from the Fourth Beasts Ruins (10 heads) so he has to be from Greece and from the E.U. at the same time to fulfill both Dan. 8 and Dan. 7.

Now Dan. 11:40-43 is that battle spoken of above, he conquers "Countries" to get at Israel, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, and he Conquers all of North Africa as verses 42-43 shows. But alas he does not conquer Ammon, Moab or Edom, and that is where Israel flees unto and God protects her for 1260 days in the Jordanian Mountains in Central and Southern Jordan. Also, now Dan. 11s specificity of all the Greek kings makes perfect sense, we get every King from Alex the Great to Antiochus, the archetype A.C. and then lastly we the the A.C./Beast in verses 36-45, a Greek Born E.U. President.

I do not think it is Trump. While none of us know, my money is on Obama for several reasons. His ties to Hillary Clinton, and his muslim ties for a couple. Please explain what the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is that the Charismatics often speak about people needing. I was raised in a Baptist church where we were taught that you received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit when you excepted Jesus as your Saviour.

Expand full comment

This is a great question, and I hope Jimmy answers it. I would love to hear his perspective. I was also raised Baptist, but the church I’m in now is pretty charismatic, and it’s been different to say the least!

I think I can shed a little light on this with what little understanding I have of it. There are some in the charismatic movement that believe you must have a separate baptism of the Spirit that is not the same as your salvation. This is often manifested by speaking in tongues or another outward expression of the Holy Spirit’s power. I don’t know for sure, but I’m assuming they’re getting this from the fact that in Acts, when the Holy Spirit came, people began speaking in tongues and so forth.

However, I think they’re taking what is descriptive about a specific event and making it prescriptive for the Church as a whole. The Holy Spirit fell on the Jewish believers at Pentecost, and He made His presence known through tongues of fire and signs. Then Peter laid his hands on the Samaritan believers and they received the Spirit Who again made Himself known through signs. The Peter laid his hands on Cornelius and his family, and the Spirit repeated His earlier outward manifestations. The Lord did this to make clear the indwelling of the Holy Spirit AND that the indwelling was available to Jews, Samaritans, and Gentiles. The Lord used blatant and obvious signs to make it abundantly clear what He was doing. Now the normal operation of the Spirit is to indwell a believer at the moment of salvation. That is the baptism of the Spirit. Nothing else is needed. Sometimes this comes with dramatic signs such as the individual being immediately liberated from sin or demonic oppression. Normally though it doesn’t come with any sort of outward sign.

Now, I do believe the Spirit equips individual believers with power for a specific time for a specific ministry. But I wouldn’t say this is a separate baptism of the Spirit. The believer didn’t lack the Spirit before and suddenly get Him. The Spirit simply manifested His power through that individual for a specific purpose.

There are some charismatics that go so far as to say you aren’t saved if you haven’t spoken in tongues or some other outward sign of the Spirit, and that’s just wrong and unbiblical. The Bible makes it clear that tongues is a gift and not every believer gets every gift.

Expand full comment

Stefan,

Well said. Thank you for the explanation, that sounds right to me. I just finished listening to a podcast from Pastor Jack Hibbs (June 6th) that was enlightening and to your points.

I support a Charismatic evangelist and I have been having some reservations lately; but I see healings, deliverances and salvations in his ministry. I do believe that there is a place for the Charismatic movement in evangelism; and like you (and the Bible) said, not everyone will have the same gifts of the Spirit.

It is hard to understand when the subject was dodged by your pastor(s), maybe it was because of the lack of their understanding. Some believe that the time for the use of tongues passed long ago. I wouldn't want to limit God that way, Jesus left towns because of their unbelief.

Blessings to you!

Hi David, I think the Baptists have it right as the person who led me to the Lord was a Baptist, so that is what I believed as well. But then, while sitting on my couch and just talking to the Lord about this, I literally received a prayer language right there on the spot. I simple said, Jesus, I have no idea what I would even do with a prayer language since I am a Baptist now (I was raised a Catholic) but I will take anything from your hand should You want me to have it. To my surprise, I immediately started speaking in tongues. Now what? I knew better than to reject something that was confirmed by my new Charismatic friends to be a genuine prayer language, like the Disciples waited for and received in Acts 2. I had no clue, and frankly it took me awhile to get the hang of it. But now, 40 years later, I can honestly say that this “Baptism of the HS” has been one of the most precious gifts I could ever imagine. I use it every day, sometimes with the interpretation placed clearly in my mind so I can pray into it in English, and sometimes without. I don’t have to know what I am praying, the Lord knows, and He is praying through me. I go to a Charismatic Church now (Word of Life International Assemblies of God, in Sterling Va) just because I wanted to learn more about the “greater gifts.” What a journey it has been. I realize it can be intimidating at first, but if you embrace it as a gift from God for your good, and His glory, you will not be disappointed. Just my experience. Hope this helps. 💜

It’s the unlocking of the spiritual gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12-13 (among others), at least that is how I see it. Yes, we are indwelled by the Holy Spirit, but how often are we filled? Two different things. When you are filled through prayer, praise, witnessing, evangelizing, worshipping etc, the Spirit can unleash healing, cast out demons and raise the dead. Prophecy breaks out.

While we don't know the day or the hour of the Rapture, it appears that, just prior to being raptured, those who are believers will hear an announcement that the Rapture is about to happen. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (Amplified Bible) "For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and with the blast of the trumpet of God...". Then the Rapture follows. Is this something we will hear just prior to the Rapture? (from my Greek dictionary the meaning of the word 'voice' is 'a sound that can be heard by others')

Hi Janine, as one who lives with a similar situation, this is heartbreaking. The father of my children is no longer living, but as I look back on it there are some things we should have done differently. For me, I had to go before the Lord with that and seek God’s help, not only to repent, but to seek His guidance going forward. My kids are older now and I feel led to always speak the Truth in love as I get the opportunity. Don’t hold back, but don’t push. Wait on the Lord for those opportunities and be specific about what the Lord does for you in your relationship with Him and how much you love Him and His Word. They both know my beliefs on prophecy. I want them to know that it is not too late to have a relationship with Jesus even after the Rapture. Lots of prayer. Hope that helps. 💜
