Faith Perspective

Good Word (08.16.26)

This week, I talk about the importance of creating a faith-based perspective. I discuss the Psalms that David wrote at his darkest times and how he chose to have a faith-based perspective.

What David is talking about here is our perspective, setting the Lord before you. It just reminds us that when we’re going through something difficult we’re going through anything that we just remember that God’s with us. —Jimmy Evans

Look What God Has Done

Inspired by real praise reports from the Tipping Point community, these testimonies celebrate God’s faithfulness, answered prayers, and the miracles He is still doing today. We pray they encourage your faith and remind you that God is still at work.

God Doesn’t Heal Halfway

By Kari Smalley Gibson, TP Community Storyteller

If you’ve ever read through the Tipping Point comments, chances are you’ve been blessed by the kindness and faith of one of our most beloved voices—Sweet Verna. She’s a bright light in this community, always encouraging, always praying, always loving big.

But today, we get to celebrate a miracle in her life.

After struggling with her eyesight for quite some time, Verna recently shared that God has completely restored her ability to read.

“Before the surgery, I wore glasses that were so thick, and I still couldn’t see well. Now my glasses for distance are so light and thin. The very best part is that even without wearing my glasses, I can stand up, put my Bible on the table, and I can read it. God blessed me so much. Yes, I once was blind, but now I see.”

Not just large print—but tiny print, the kind that even shocked her doctor! With joyful tears, she told us, “God has worked a miracle in my life. Praise the Lord. Glory to God! I can read my Bible again!”

At the time I first wrote Verna’s story, she was still waiting on her new glasses for distance, but she already saw far—with eyes of faith. And that’s the beauty of this testimony: God doesn’t heal halfway. He finishes what He starts. Now, will you join me in praying for Verna and complete healing of her kidneys? And while you’re here, drop Sweet Verna a note in the comments and let her know you’re praying for her.

Here in the Tipping Point Community, we’ve seen this over and over again—hearts healed, bodies restored, marriages strengthened, prodigals returning. And so often, it begins with a simple prayer shared in the comments.

When we show up for each other in prayer, we get to witness what God can do. This is more than a community—it’s a family of believers standing together in faith.

So today, we’re celebrating with Sweet Verna. Tomorrow, we could be celebrating with you.

“The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.” Psalm 146:8 (NLT)

Come be part of what God is doing at the Tipping Point. There’s room for you here.
